Siblings Stick Together (An Owl House fanfic)

Chapter 1

It was a quiet night. Wells as quiet as a night would be after an encounter with Belos. Everyone except Luz, Hunter, and Gus had gone back to the house. (They didn't know the other portal was in the graveyard yet.) The trio was staying back to make sure things were ok.

"I think we should set something on fire," Gus stated, grinning menacingly, "Just to be safe."

"Are you crazy," Exclaimed Luz, as she was surprised by Gus's suggestion," what happens if we accidentally set the whole forest on fire?!"

"Relax simp, I've done this several times as the..." Hunter paused, as he remembered the God awful things he has done in the past. "Anyways, I'm taking Gus and setting a tree on fire! Come on Gus."

"Wait, I was just kiddi-" Gus says just as he was being dragged off into the forest by Hunter.

"Hey! That's technically kidnapping!" Luz shouts as she runs after the duo. "And I'm not a simp!"

"It's not kidnapping if no one finds out! " Hunter yells back without turning his head.

"It technically is if I'm being dragged against my will." states Gus.

15 minutes go by and Luz has lost track of Gus and Hunter.

'Damn it! Now where did those two go?' Suddenly, Luz gets startled by a branch breaking behind her. "Whoever is there, better stay back!" Luz then proceeds to pick up a large branch like a bat and slowly approaches the source of the sound. "LUZ-CHOP!" she yells just before screaming and swinging the branch.

"Ah sh*t!" a familiar voice exclaims.

Luz takes a flashlight and points it at the figure, only to find out it was Hunter. "Sorry about that Hunter. Thought you were someone, or something, else."

"It's fine. I shouldn't have tried to sneak up on you." Hunter replies.

"Even if I knew it was you, I still would've hit you with the branch for calling me a simp."

"But it's true though." Hunter says, pulling a smug face.

"At least I have a girlfriend. You're still single like a Pringle"

"Yeah, but I'm faster. See ya simp!" Hunter runs off into the trees only to trip on a rock 30 seconds later.

Luz laughs realizing someone was missing. "So where's Gus?" Luz questions, only for them both to not know the answer. "Don't tell me you lost him."

Hunter pulls a scared expression, but his eyes say a different story. "Maybe?"

"Ay mi maldito dios. You look back over by the graveyard, I'll check further up the path."

About 30 minutes go by and Luz decides to help Hunter check the graveyard, and ends up finding him trying to dig his own grave and bury himself. "Hunter, we talked about this. No digging our graves."

Hunter climbs out of the hole and dusts himself off. "Fine we better find Gu- Uh what's that behind you?!"

Luz looks behind her, finding nothing there. She turned back around to see Hunter sprinting away, only to jump into a hole that happened to be the grave he was digging. "Really? You're just going to jump into the same hole? The f*ck is wrong with you?"

"Trauma. That's what." Hunter states as if the answer wasn't obvious enough.

"Been there. But you don't see me trying to bury myself now do you?"

Hunter sighs knowing very well what the answer is. "Yeah I guess you're right. But I'm staying in this hole."

"Fine. You won't climb out willingly, I'll pull you out myself." Luz takes a plant glyph and casts some vines. Said vines wrapping around Hunter tightly and dragging him out of the hole.

"Hey this is kidnapping!" exclaims Hunter as he struggles to be free of the vines. "Let me go or I'll tell Amity you're trying to kidnap me."

Luz, who was clearly over this, decided enough was enough. "First of all, you and I both know Amity would just leave you in that hole, Second of all, isn't that what you tried to do with Gus? Bit hypocritical if you ask me."

Hunter rips the vines and, of course, jumps back into the hole.

"Fine stay there. I'll just summon Hooty to come after you."

"Ha! That bird tube can't do anything to me. Plus he's in the demon realm."

"Who says I can't summon him?" Luz replies, pulling a smug expression.

"That would be more cursed than some of the memes of us." (You had to break the fourth wall didn't you?)

"I'm just kidding Hunter. I'm still human."

Hunter was relieved, but also quite annoyed. "I swear to the Titan I will murder you if you pull that kind of card again."

"And how do you think Willow will feel about that?" Luz knew exactly how to blackmail Hunter.

"Why would I care?"

"Because we both know she can end your very existence. Also how do you think she'll react to you losing Gus?"

Hunter, knowing exactly what will happen, climbed out of the hole. "Why must you do this to me?"

"Because...I can. Now let's find Gus and head back."

"Yeah about that...I kinda sorta, dropped Gus off back at the house." Hunter said know damn well he messed up.

"So you're telling me, we've been out here for an hour for nothing?!"

"I thought it would be a funny joke. Heheh."

"For f*ck sake Hunter." Luz said as she rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Let's go. I don't want to get in trouble. I'll be dead."

"Why? You didn't really do anything wrong."

"I technically tried to kidnap you though."

"True. As long as neither of us or Gus snitches, we should be ok." Hunter lightly shoves Luz and runs into the direction of the house. "Race you there simp!"

"Hey, no fair. I wasn't ready!" Luz exclaims as she runs after Hunter.

"It's called cheating for a reason!"

"Never thought you'd be one to cheat. Especially for something like a childish race." Luz states as she runs past Hunter, laughing.

"What can I say, I've changed." Hunter says as he speeds up and joins in with his own laughter.
