It's 12 am but Jeongguk can't fall asleep. It's hard to, when all he can think about is what happened in Sooyeon's bathroom. Oh fuck is he doomed. 

"Yo, Jeongguk. You look dead,, you know tryouts are today right?" A hand slings on his shoulder and pats him three times.

He looks at Jimin

"Thanks,, I fixed eye bags just for this occasion" he scoffs and continues to rub his eyes. Jimin was right though, tryouts are today and tryouts for not just any event but for the annual Spring tournament held every year. This could possibly make his career too in the future, a lot of atheletic scouts would be attending and it'll be his chance to shine.

Everyone already expects him to get offers and he do get them, I mean no less from the captain himself. But he's only goal is to try and get into Sparrow Sports Association. And inorder for that to happen,, this have to happen, passing the tryouts.

"Ggukiee~" a sweet voice chirps from behind him and he immediately recognized the voice.

Sooyeon.

He smiles and turns back expectantly.

"Hi, Yeoni--" his voice gets muffled on the fabric of Sooyeon's clothes. She rushed into a hug before he got to finish his sentence.

He still smiles and feels better from her scent.

"Ggukieee! You look so tired! Why?" She sounds worried and puckers his lips as she squeezes his cheeks. Her eyes full of worries.

"I'm fine, yeonie. Was just excited for today i guess" He grimace and thanked God Sooyeon bought that excuse. If Sooyeon knew the real reason, he would be scared of her reaction.

"Well,, just know that I'll be cheering you from there," she points at the side of the court where the cheerleaders are situated "and also here" she places his hand on her chest and gives a big warm smile.

( cringe ik but bare w me 😭)

He returns the smile back and hopes she don't find out its half hearted.
"Thanks yeonie, go back to your friends now. Coach is here" He loosens his arms around her and smiles as she goes back with her friends, who seem to be mischievously smiling as if they knew about something

"God, both of you are so disgusting," Jimin groans "makes me miss my Yoongi" he fake sobs but Jeongguk knows he's genuinely sad.

Yoongi, Jimin's boyfriend and assistant of the music faculty, was called in sick for high fever and a flu. And Jimin who loved his boyfriend very much that he  even skipped classes for three consecutive days but was threatened to come back by 'his boyfriend's cute zombie voice and adorable cat slippers' quote Jimin.

And its hell for not only Jimin but also Jeongguk who have to hear his best friend 's constant need for complaining to the God's of nature why Yoongi had to be sick.

" ok listen up" the coach alerts all the boys in the squad,"this school have already had an official team and we are proud of them but Spring Tournament is no joke, its mostly about the individuality for this game and hence why we are taking another tryouts for the game. I hope we can all focus on our ball as we focus on our career! Good luck all of you!"...

" woo!! gguk! Less goo" jimin cheers as his name and Jeongguk 's name was up on the list.

Jeongguk heaves a big sigh and smiles at the board.

He's one step ahead.

"Ggukie!" The same chirpy voice comes from behind and he turns back, opening his arms for a hug
" i knew it! I'm so proud of you!"

"Thanks, yeon. It means a lot" he smiles and he knows the sting eye he's getting from Jimin but he couldn't care less. He so fucking happy he got in.

"You know what,, let's celebrate your victory at my place! I'll cook your favorite meal!" Jeongguk's heart stops and it beats faster than ever. His mind goes back to what happened yesterday, at Sooyeon's house, in the bathroom,  with none other than Kim Taehyung.

"Y-yeah, sure"
