CJ POV
He loved the L.A. lifestyle, he could not wait to visit again. He did not think he wanted to live there.
He did not get to see his sister while he was there, he was too busy partying and smashing the ladies. And the three of them were still blowing up his DMs. They were trying to get in on the ground level before he blew up.
Sarena loved what he did with the song and Icee wanted a video to be shot ASAP so they could release the remix and video at the same time.
"God damn man! I swear the Kellys have made me more money than I made my damn self," Icee said to him when they were in the studio playing back Don't Look Down remix.
That was an exaggeration for sure. Icee had been the man since he was a teenager. When Fact Iz took off, he was eighteen years old. The first album was out the gate and they were the number-one rap group in the world. Countless Grammys to their names, world tours, everything.
Icee branched off from the group and did model work and now acting. He took all his extra money and invested right back in his hometown Springfield. He not only made lots of money, but he also gave back to his community. No one was doing it like Icee.
Before he knew he was related to royalty, he was a big fan of Icee and aspired to be like him. Build a music empire. He was well on his way and working with the likes of Icee, he would be there in no time.
"Glad you like it Ice. I still get nervous working with the likes of you."
"Lil bro, I'm just a regular homie from Da Field, ya hear me? Err'body know I ain't with that fake Hollywood shit, that's why I lay my head down in Da Field with my wife and my babies. L.A. is for them fake people."
Or his ex, the great Ms. Bonnie Walker. No matter if she was old enough to be his mother if she had him at fourteen, she still was fine as fuck and he would fuck her. Now she was married to that singer Tempo and had a baby, but whatever. She was freaky, maybe he still had a chance.
"Icee, you're far from regular."
Sitting with him now, the man had on enough diamonds to pay all four years of his college tuition...plus dorm and meal plan, and still, have enough to buy a nice car. So much bling it was blinding. Diamond studded earrings in each ear, two diamond and platinum thick chains around his neck, a diamond-encrusted Rolex watch, two diamond bracelets on the other wrist, a diamond bottom grill in his mouth, diamonds on his belt bucket, pinky ring diamond, wedding band blinged out.
The man even had diamonds embedded in the clothes he wore, fresh IceMan Wear from Kstyle Fashions, specifically made for him, and no one else.
He was sure the man had diamonds sewn into his underwear. He did not want to know.
Icee had millions before he met his sister. Probably doubled his worth since meeting her, but she was not the only reason he was so rich. Everybody loved Icee. There was nothing to hate about him. He was that type of rapper that had female fans of course but just as many male fans. The fellas wanted to be like him. The ladies wanted him.
His poor sister probably had to fight off groupies left and right when they were dating.
"Listen, young boy, you want some of this? A piece of this. Focus! I know you young, think ya shit don't stink and err'thang, but let me tell you, I probably wasted a lot of years bullshitting and partying when I coulda found life right here. With Kitty and my fam."
"To think, the love of my life was right here in Springfield all these years. Probably passed by her many times in my youth. I wasn't ready. I'm glad I found her when I did."
He did not know much about their love story and didn't care. Long as he kept his sister happy and took care of his nephew and nieces he was good.
"Focus on the music. That's your only focus right now. Not the money just yet. The music. And not the girls."
"Whoa!" he said to him. "Just because you're happily married, I ain't trying to hear that shit, no disrespect. You know how much pussy I get?"
Icee glared at him. "You do know who you talking to, right? Muh'fucka, I had girls on top of girls, but that shit ain't nothing to brag about. Once you find the one, fucking ain't fucking man, it's sex, making love. And with one...that's way better than all the randoms in the world.
Icee was talking nonsense and he was not here for that.
All Icee could talk to him about was the music, fuck love.
After he left his brother-in-law he needed to chill his mind. He went off to his mom's place because where else could he chill? Soon as he walked into the house, he saw his mother and that lil girl sitting on the couch, eating popcorn and watching TV.
"It's like that ma? You get rid of me and find a replacement?"
He sat next to his mother and hugged her. Her tiny frame was nearly crushed by his.
"Nonsense," she said and pushed him away. "Getaway, I know you're probably coming from one of your girlfriend's houses."
He grinned at her. He used to sneak them into the house plenty of times and got caught, so he was not shy about talking about sex with his mother.
"Ma, I was handling business, that's what I was doing." He looked over at the girl, then grabbed the bowl of popcorn from her. "What are we watching?"
"Hey!" Ishii screamed at him.
"My house, my popcorn."
"Not your house," she said. "You don't live here anymore."
"Mom, this is still my house right, and I am welcomed anytime, right?"
"Of course, son."
"I see CJ has the only-child syndrome," Ishii said with an eye roll.
"Glad to see you two getting along. CJ, you should introduce Ishii to some of your lil friends. She doesn't know anyone at school and all she does is go to class then come home and stay in her room. I told her this is college, time to explore the world."
"Yeah, touch grass," he said to her.
"I don't need friends."
"Everyone needs friends," he said to her. "But I am not the friend maker. Just talk to people in class with you that like the same things as you. Join a club or something."
Probably was easier said than done. Not like he had many friends. He grew up in Springfield, but of his friend group from high school, he was the only one attending Missouri State. All the others went off to other cities for college. He wanted to stay because yes, he was a momma's boy.
"I'm fine. I don't need friends or to join a club," Ishii said. "I came here to learn, get my degree, that's it. It's why I'm staying here and not at the dorms. I would be totally distracted if I was on campus."
Must be a nerd. She might do well hanging out with Nola. Then again, Nola was on some ninja shit lately, they would have nothing in common. Ishii could stay in the house all she wanted. He was young, fly, and ready to party.
After he finished the movie with his mom and Ishii, he headed out to find the next flavor for the night.
Life was good!
A/N: If you don't see that CJ and Ishii will end up together, open your eyes. But it won't be simple.
