"Life." What is the first thing you think of when you see this word? What are you experiencing in your life now? Stress? Anger? Humiliation? Happiness? Nothing at all?
This. is the life of Park Jiyoung. Her parents passed away when she was 9. She was traumatized ever since then. Jiyoung started living at an orphanage then. At the sight of rain, there would be flashbacks. Jiyoung hardly speaks, except for an exception - Kim Haera, her best friend.
Gradually, she grew up. Became prettier, but quieter. At the age of 13, she was adopted by the Byun family.
She is 16 now, and she attends Seoul High. What could await her?

Chapter 1.
The sound of raindrops.
A drop. Followed by another. Who was ever there for her? A tear slid down.
"This is the Seoul Hospital. Are you Park Jiyoung?"
"Yes, speaking."
"I'm really sorry, but your parents have passed away in an accident 2 hours ago. Would you like to see them for one last time?"
Jiyoung's heart cracked into a million pieces. Her beloved parents. *It was my fault. If only.. If only... I didn't say I wanted it that badly... This would have happened.. It's all my fault. I'm to blame for everything.*
Nothing could express what she was feeling now. Her life had no more meaning now. How was she going to fend for herself? Jiyoung tried her best to will the tears away. Her eyes were shrouded with tears and yearning of the comfort of her parents.
"Hey Jiyoung, time for school." Byun Baekhyun, Jiyoung's stepbrother, spoke softly to Jiyoung.
Up till now, Jiyoung is still unwilling to talk to Baekhyun. But, as patient and kind Baekhyun, Baekhyun is giving Jiyoung time to fit in and get used to her current life.
