Everyone was starting to go back to their dorms after the ghost left. Idia didn't want to spend another moment out of his room so he left with Ortho trailing behind. The rest were tired of being paralyzed, and went to rest. Benji was hesitant about leaving so soon, and they wanted to look around the decorated room. The cafeteria looked different due to the ghost taking over and not bothering to clean up.
Benji's mind worked in the way that about everything made them curious, so looking around came naturally. They almost wanted to take the decorations since no one was using them. They crouched down to look at the grave stone chair and the details of it, when suddenly a hand fell on the top of their head.
"Monsieur Pivoine-
Benji stood up in shock, but their head hit Rook's chin by accident and they slouched down at the impact.
"HEY I- Ah- ROOK IM SORRY I DIDNT MEAN TO-
Rook's hand went from holding his chin to cupping Benji's face.
"Do not worry! I'm alright, truly.!"
Benji covered their face in embarrassment. Thankfully it was only the two of them in the room, so no one saw the accident happen.
Both Rook and Benji's outfits had been taken a number on, both having some rips and tears in them.
"What are you doing still here?" Rook asked after being able to calm Benji down.
"Just..Looking around, the ghosts really did a lot despite the amount of time they had here.. it's like a ball room" Benji said, their eyes wandering around the cafeteria.
Rook's eyes wandered as well, but landed back on Benji's face. Benji's face was full of astonishment. Rook smiled softly, wrapping an arm around them. Benji was brought back to reality for a second, and they wrapped their tail around Rook's leg.
Rook's face lit up, suddenly got an idea.
"Do you dance?"
Benji turned to Rook in confusion, blinking a couple times.
"Ah..well not exactly, I've never tried it with another person, but I'm sure I have two left feet.."
"Will you allow me to teach you?"
"Here?..Now..?!"
"Yes! If you would let me"
Benji's face turned slightly red, and their ears folded back.
"I'd..Like that.." Rook placed a kiss on their forehead, taking their hands into his, and leaded them to a more open area.
"Alright, Love, place your hand on my shoulder, and I'll place mine here." Rook moved his hand onto their side, while holding onto their hand with the other.
"Just follow my lead" All Benji could do was nod at that. Rook took a single step back, as Benji followed. He started to slowly pace them both around the room, keeping at a slow pace so Benji Can follow with ease.
Suddenly Benji's foot caught over the other, and started to stumble a bit, throwing them off the rhythm. They didn't fall thanks to Rook being there, but they were taken a bit aback by it.
"You alright?" Rook asked, releasing them from the grip he had on them.
"Yes, thank you.." they said, taking a moment before placing their head in his chest, and wrapping their arms around him. Rook was surprised at the sudden gesture, but reciprocated, wrapping his own arms around them.
"I think I'm just tired.. it's been a day.." Rook chuckled at the comment, they weren't wrong. He softly swayed back and forth, still holding onto them. The swaying almost caused them both to fall asleep standing.
"Let's go, Mon Cheri" Rook said, taking Benji's hand leading them out of the cafeteria. They followed, almost upset when Rook let go of the hug.
"Will you teach me how to dance more in the future.?" Rook didn't look back at them, but Benji could tell he was smiling, based off of the fact that his grip on their hand tightened.
"Yes, of course I will.."
