Chapter 1 -

The sound of clashing metal against skulls was natural in the battle for the undercity. The Council had been neglecting the underground for a very long time now. 15 years ago in the summer season, the underground attacked, leaving the two bridges connecting the city in shambles, blood, gunpowder, and corpses scattered all around on the ground. Smoke and dust blanketed the two bridges. The Council didn't know what to do, only sending police force after police force to try to combat the "scum of the undercity". The undercity had a good reason to fight back. The undercity had been neglected by the Council ever since the sinkhole sunk the undercity since the city had been founded.

The Council has been straying further and further due to the newfound technology Jason Tolman invented, Crux Tech. From this, the underground has been making more and more new technology to prepare for anything, whether it be an attack from topside or a fight with some thugs. Although polluted and dense, they've been making due for many years.

Council meeting room -

"We have to do something about the production of this new, 'Slick' drug the undercity has been producing!" Jason Tolman, the golden boy of CruxTech and Council member proposed, he wore a large white coat jacket over a dress vest suit to go with it, and some dress pants. These were all accented with reds and golds, lining the stitching or elsewhere. The continuous production of Slick had been putting the Council on edge.

"We have other things to worry about, don't you know that Jason?" Charles Erwin, one of the founders of Glecton said, "For many years now, we haven't had to worry about the undercity. So, stop worrying about them." He said in his light British accent. He shook his hand as to dismiss him.

"Well, Charles. For one thing, I agree with Jason. This production of 'Slick' has been off the charts for a while now, we can't just expect them to do nothing with it. We don't even know what it does!" Botman said, the big man rocking in his chair with the birthday present Kel gave him. All the other members of the Council nodded their heads to agree with him.

"I propose that we try to root out the source of this 'Slick'. If we get rid of the root of the problem, there would be no problem to begin with!" Said Italis, a tall, skinny man, all of the Council members shook their heads to agree.

Jason raised a glass, making a toast to the idea.

Airship import docking station -

Walking along the shipping docks, watching ships go in and out, officer Cadey Kapman traced her right hand along the line of airships, her blue raven hair shining in the sun's rays. She was clothed in her navy blue police uniform, accented with a goldish color on her shoulders. Her officer badge and nameplate hung firmly from the little pocket residing on her chest. Yellow police tape caught her eye, it was on one of the airships. She slowly walked towards the scene, ensuring that nobody noticed her slipping in. Once she got to the scene, she made sure that her camera was on her, it was the newest edition of the black and white print-out camera.

She took it out, getting pictures of everything, envisioning in her head what the scene might have played out. Making a gun with her fingers and following the gunshots that went along the airship.
She crouched down and took some more pictures of blood, and bullets, and used bombs that the raiders might have used to immobilize the people shipping the Slick over to Glecton. There was a trail of blood leading down to a compartment kind of hidden on the floor next to a wall of the main room at the back. Cadey followed the trail of blood, she heard someone groaning under the trap door.

"Hello?" she whispered while creaking the door open. Once she opened the door, the tall woman kept her vision steady on the bald, strong, tattooed man in front of her. He looked about 5'11, standing up, at least 2 inches shorter than Cadey. The tight enclosure made it pretty claustrophobic for both of them. He looked like he was sitting here for hours.
