"You're not even trying to stop me? There is no little part of you hoping I don't go through this?" Aria's soft voice whispered. She sat on a bench in a corner while Absalom stood opposite her watching her intently.

"Of course, I don't want you to fight an Alpha, but if I can feel the intense hate you feel towards that man even now, then I will not stop you."

Aria's eyes widened. "You feel it? But we haven't even-"

"Exactly."

"Does this mean you will stop saying I'm not your mate?" She asked, her voice even smaller.

A small huff left Absalom's lips as he watched her. "It's pretty undeniable at this point don't you think?" He asked, his brown brow quirking up. He reached forward and nudged her chin up with his index finger beneath her jaw.

"Don't die," he said, looking right at her. "Please."

"And if I become Alpha?" She asked.

His lips quirked up into a grin. "Then I guess I'll become Luna?" He joked and I was grateful to him at that moment because a soft laugh left Aria's lips.

"Aria?" I called and for the first time, they realized they weren't alone.

Aria gave me a soft smile as I approached her. "Hey, Iris."

My brows furrowed and I reached for her, pulling her into my arms. "How are you feeling?"

She paused in thought, then rolled her shoulder stretching her neck. "I feel pretty good, you don't need to heal me from the morning."

"I don't mean physically," I said. "How do you feel seeing your uncle again?"

Her expression darkened and she looked away wordlessly. "You know more than any person how I might feel," her gaze crawled back to mine. "He betrayed his pack Iris, I can deal with the fact that he betrayed his own blood but the pack did not deserve to have an Alpha like that. He knew he was the strongest and instead of protecting he harmed. Now he is a dictator and they can do nothing but obey and protect him."

A soft smile touched my lips, she was finally looking in the right direction. Initially, when I first met her she was sad and heartbroken about having become a rogue. As I have said wolves belonging to packs had the worst ideologies about rogue wolves.

Aria had them until she realized most of us were nothing but homeless and desperate. She pretty much went through all stages of grief and I knew she was beginning to let go of her past, especially when Absalom came into the picture.

Meeting her uncle was not a situation we pictured happening so all that acceptance must have flown out the window. At least now she is more mature and able to see that killing her uncle means becoming a leader. She might still be young and not quite as strong as the traditional Alpha but I know she would never challenge her uncle purely out of Lycan rage or anger.

Plus now she had a logical and rational wolf beside her and since Absalom was supporting her then she must be doing the right thing.

"Then you have nothing to fear," Malik's baritone voice rumbled. "You think as an Alpha should, your pack first. All in all, regardless of the situation the moon goddess is not heartless, she notices when intentions are true and helps out."

Aria's eyes were wide in shock and while the rest of us didn't have the conventional look of utter stupefaction both Absalom and I were pleasantly surprised. Malik rarely spoke to anyone he didn't have to, he was a good leader, not just a social one.

Now that I think of it Klaus is also not very sociable. He is not even likeable, so who dealt with the wolves personally?

"Wow, Alpha. Thank you," Aria replied and before anyone could add any other word Leonard called for us from the entrance.
