You wanted to get good sleep, but then you are woken up by your little brother pouncing you. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY Y/N" B/N screams in your face. You push him out of your face, but roughly smile. "Hey, B/N! Could I just sleep a little more? It would be a pleasure." You say, half awake, slamming your head on the pillow. "But your 16! 16! And what about CAKE FOR BREAKFAST?" B/N eagerly shouts in you ear, as if it's HIS birthday. Suddenly, your mom walks in and takes B/N out of the room. "Give Y/N some room, B/N. " You sigh of relief as your mom sits at the end of your bed. "Happy Birthday! How are you, sweetie?" Your eyes are closed, and you don't open them as you talk. "Fine." You feel your mom's hand on your face. "That's good." she smiles. You open your eyes a bit and smile back. "Now, do you want to eat cake in bed?" You slowly get up. "Nah, I'll eat with you guys."

-Time skip-

The cake was really good, but B/N had a sugar high. He crashed after a bit, thankfully, so while he was napping you and your mom are looking at pet stores for a new pet rabbit you've been wanting. "How about this one? They have 4 stars." Your mom points at the site. You look through the reviews. "Nah, looks like they take horrible care of their pets." You point at a few of their gloomy-looking pets, that are in really cramped spaces. "I really don't want to support that." Your mom closes the computer. "Well, I have another gift for you." Mom looks at your eyes deeply. You tilt your head. "What?" Your mom shows you up to her room. She opens a drawer and takes out a box. "Your father wanted you to have this when you were 16." Your eyes sting a bit as you cry a couple of tears. "A gift...From Dad?" Your mom nods. You couldn't believe it.
