Chapter 1

**Sierra POV**

    I never was good at essays, but with it being half of my grade, I had to learn. The whole time I was writing it, my boyfriend, Chris, was leaning on my shoulder. “When are you going to be done?” he breathed into my ear. “I want to spend time with you before you go to Europe.” he frowned and hugged me from behind. You see, I was leaving for Europe in three days for spring break.

    “It’ll only be a minute.” I promised and went back to trying to write. I heard the door close downstairs and One Direction started blasting through the speakers. “ARIONA!” I yelled down at her. “TURN THAT DOWN! I’M TRYING TO WORK!” She came running up the stairs and shoved my door open.

    “Why are you working on that? You need to get packed!” She opened the door of my closet and threw my suitcase on the bed. “Now, pick what you’re wearing to the One Direction concert because we are going to look good.” She pushed my boyfriend away from me and pulled me from where I was sitting.

    “I was going to spend time with Chris first.” I whined and pulled a shirt from my closet. 
    “Well, he can help you. What do you think I made Andrew do!” She laughed and started singing ‘Kiss You’ while dancing around.

    “You’re crazy!” Chris laughed and then kissed my cheek. “I’ll see you tomorrow at school babe, you can pack.” He hugged me before he pulled my fringe top from my closet. “You should wear this to the concert.”

    Smiling at him, I hugged him. “I love you.” I breathed into his chest and took the top off of the hanger and folded it to put it in my bag.

    He kissed me before heading out my door. Ariona looked at me with disbelief. “What?” I asked her and pulled my skinny jeans from my closet.

    She sat on the edge of my bed, holding my teddy bear from when I was young in her arms. “He didn’t say he loves you back.” Her hand rested on my shoulder and spoke in a small voice. “He usually does... what’s been going on between you two?”

    “We just...” I started “We haven’t been spending much time together lately.” I didn’t look at her. I know where she’s heading with this... maybe he doesn’t love me any more. I wouldn’t let her say it because in my heart, I knew it was true. “He’s been busy, I’ve been busy... But we’re happy.” I couldn’t believe I was lying through my teeth.

    “Sierra,” Ariona sat back on my bed. “he’s been busy how?” Before I could answer her, her phone rang. “Hello? Oh hey babe. Yeah, I’m home. Sure! Kay, see you soon, love you!” She hung up and sat her phone next to her. “That was Andrew, he’s coming over.” She smiled and stood up and looked through my shoes. Turning around, she was holding my sandals in her hands. “These would look perfect with that outfit!” She smiled and put them in my bag.

    Suddenly, my phone rang and I answered it because it said ‘Chris <3 :*’ “Hey!” I smiled, even though he couldn’t see it.

    “Hey, I just left my girlfriend’s house. You wanna meet up at my place? My parents aren’t home.” I was speechless... it couldn’t be Chris talking. Was he cheating on me? Who was he trying to call? All I did was hang up and look at Ariona with a sad expression.
