10. Promise

Puen came to Talay's house to find talay but talay still hasn’t come back yet. Every time tess saw puen tess felt like dying. Puen told him that he needs to dream to go back but dreaming is not something one can do of their own will. Tess prayed every day to dream but he saw nothing. The emptiness inside him could never be filled.

"If I didn’t meet tun here... And pretended to not have feelings for him... Would I still be this miserable? Probably not... Or maybe I would've gone crazy already.  Tun was the only thing that kept me sane... Now he is gone... "

Tess was stuck in the same routine. His mind filled with tun. His mother and brother got worried about him but he Didn't answer any of their questions. Starting the morning by pulling his hair to falling asleep thinking of tun was the only thing he did.

Tess woke up. Not Where anyone would expect themself to wake up. He found himself sleeping in a seashore. But he clearly remembered not going out for a week. He got up and felt like his insides were suffering a drought. He stood up and saw his reflection in the water. It wasn’t Talay's face. It was his. Does this mean he is back home? He touched his face and hands. Yes, he is back. He felt dizzy so he walked away from the water.

"Oh my god! Son! I told you We'll take you there when the water comes down! Why did you sleep in the water? "  an old man came running to tess and checked his temperature. 

"Oh no. You are having a fever. Let's go" that man took him to his house and told him that this is where he had been staying for a week. He said that tess wanted to go to the iland but the water level Won't go down.

"We'll go to the iland after your temperature comes down."

"No need uncle... I think I'm gonna go back..."

"Why?  You have been waiting for a week and you were desperate to go right?  "

" my mom will be worried. I have to go to her." the man smiled and patted his shoulder.

"I Don't know why you wanted to go there but I hope you got what you wanted" tess smiled and nodded. The man took care of him till he felt better then tess started his journey to go back home. It was nighttime already. 

Meanwhile, tun in this 1 week felt like he was always suffocating. He was back in his condo. Got his family back. Got to meet his friends.  Everything was back to normal but he felt out of place. In that universe, he couldn’t meet tess for a month but he never felt like that knowing tess was still here but now... Tess isn't here... He doesn’t know if tess will ever come back. He was grateful to talay and puen. They established the career he wanted. The ordinary tun was now the screenwriter tun. And tess was a part of his success.  Tess was one of the crew members of friends credit. The screenwriter group that everyone was talking about. When tess comes back he hoped that tess will still want to write screenplays with him. Tess has changed for the better. He hoped he Won't change back to his old self after he gets here.

Tun was now sitting on a tool in the bar. He had a very low tolerance for alcohol so he just held one glass in his hand. Not drinking just holding. Suddenly he saw a familiar figure standing in front of him.

"Take me home my love"

Tess came in front of the bar. Considering his health condition he should've gone home but he Doesn't know why his feet brought him here. He got inside and the loud music was making his head explode. But he smiles as soon as he saw the man he missed so much. He ran closer to him but felt dizzy. He knew he was gonna faint soon.

"Take me home my Love " tess said and fainted. Luckily for him, tun caught him at the right time. Up and aou was on the dance floor but noticed tess and came running to help him. Tun looked at his friends. They were shocked but tun was in more shock. His tears were streaming down his face nonstop.

" Please call the cab. I need to get him home."

" Okay. You stay here with him!" aou said walking away. Aou called a cab and they got inside. Up and tun held tess meanwhile aou directed the driver to tun's apartment. 

"Why are we going to your house though?" up said.

" It's his boyfriend's house that's why"  aou and up looked at each other they had their eyes wide. They thought tun and tess Were not official yet but tun just called tess his boyfriend. Little did they know it wasn’t tun and tess but talay and puen this whole time. They reached the condo and tun kicked his 2 friends out of his condo. Those 2 didn’t argue because of how shocking this whole night was.

Tun took Tess's shirt, and pants off and gave him a sponge bath. It seemed to help lower his temperature. Tess lost a lot of weight and muscles. But his body was still something tun could die for.  Tun took care of tess the whole night. He couldn’t sleep because he was afraid something bad will happen to tess if he removed his eyes from tess.

Luckily for him, tess woke up at 7 in the morning. He was giving him a sponge bath at that time. Tess slowly opened his eyes and saw tun wiping his chest. Tun still hasn’t noticed tess opening his eyes. Tun was sleepy and exhausted too. Tess slowly brought his hand up and held touched tun's face. Tun got scared and jumped up. He was not sleepy anymore.

"Holy shit! Tess, you are awake! How do you feel? Let's go to the hospital. " tun started touching his face and got busy making sure he was okay.

"Thank god It's not a dream. I'm really back to you" tess said and smiled at tun. Tun relaxed when he saw tess smile.

"You scared me to death you know? "

"And I felt like I was dead when you left. You made a promise when we were in high school that You'll not leave me. "

"Sorry... I'll make it up to you." tun was crying really hard. Tess got up with difficulty and hugged tun.

"I thought you were never gonna come. I hated everything.  Why were you late?" tun asked while crying.  It broke tess. He also starts crying.

"I couldn’t dream. I prayed so hard but nothing happened. I was dead inside.  When I finally woke up. I woke up at an unknown iland. I had a hard time getting here. I thought of going to my house but I wanted to meet you so bad that I went to the bar. Thank god I found you" tun hugged tess tighter and tighter. Tess dragged tun to lie beside him.

" you missed me right?"

"Of course. You are my everything "

"You Won't go back to hurting me now that you are here right?"

"Have some faith in your love" tess caressed tun's head. He looked tired. Tess wanted tun to get some sleep now that he is conscious. 

"I took care of you for the whole night. You better make it up to me"

"Whole night! Get some sleep tuntun!"

"You too tesi" tess smiled at his old nickname.  He used to call tun 'tuntun' and tun used to call him 'tesi' like the car. He missed feeling this loved and close to someone. He hugged tun close to his chest and fell asleep. He was relieved thinking he is finally with tun in their universe. Nothing can stop him from loving tun anymore. No more lying to himself. No more guilt. No more playing with feeling.
