A lone figure walks a path with no end, that figure is I, and my path is unlike any road ever travelled.

The ache in my legs shadowed my concentration on the weaving trail.
"Damn those horses," I muttered. I didn't have enough coin to buy a horse, so I have to travel on my own through this damned route to BlackWallow. Exiting the forest I could see the old town from across the pasture. The old rickety buildings brought a ghoulish light to the fog of dusk.

I arrived at the town with the sun well set, a lone lantern bringing the only light to the road ahead. The emptiness of the sleeping town brought a stillness that felt.

Unnatural
Eyes watched as I passed house after house. More than the eyes of Isona, these eyes took in new information. Taking in a new person, assessing my capabilities, yet I was as well but they weren't aware of it.

Road eyes are a skill learned on your own, perceiving with more than your eyes, being aware of yourself at all times. After assessing their numbers against my own I decided not to bring any attention to them. Even the best warriors can't survive an outnumbered fight.

As I reached the edge of town I was greeted by an ugly sight. A splash on the road introduced me to the blood, seemingly everywhere. I trudged on through the puddle, unaware of the rest of the picture I had joined. As I breached the edge of the crimson pond my foot was seized by an unseen grip. My hands quickly met the floor and in that moment my face became aquatinted with the pool of bodily spillage.

As I stood and tried to clean my bloody hands on my jacket it came to no avail, now my clothes and face were blood soaked. As I searched for the cause of my fall I realized just what I stumbled upon. The source of the blood. Shattered remains of a body, skin peeling away, bones in pieces, and skull split into two halves of what once was whole. An ugly sight but fun to guess the cause.
After examining the pool of blood and remains I discovered three more bodies, each in similar state. As to what killed them I haven't a clue, my guess is as good as any other.

I left shortly after, as I couldn't be bothered to care of what killed those people. I set up a fire four hundred yards from the town and hit my bedroll, to get to my destination on time I have to keep up my pace.

In the morning I left swiftly without breaking fast, I haven't the time if I want to meet my partner in time. I've recently made a partnership and I must meet them in Gottering before dusk or our deal is off.
