Today is the day! I finally turned 118! This means I am now eligible to become King! I got up from bed, got dressed, and went to the dining hall where my parents were waiting for me.
"There he is! The future king of the Vampires!" My father came up to me and hug me.
"But that's not the only thing!" Mother said. I looked at her confused.
"What do you mean?" I walked up to her and gave her a hug before she continued.
"Well, when your father was your age, he was to choose a bride. And well obviously he chooses me. But the point is, you must also choose a bride or groom, you never know!" I did not know what to say. I did not want to get married. I'm only 118! I have forever to get married.
"But mother-"
"No buts Jungkook! You have to get married! It's tradition. After you become king it will be more stressful to choose a bride. We are giving you two months." My father put his hand on my shoulder as he talked. After he finished talking my mom continued.
"Yes, so for the next two months we will be holding balls for you to meet every possible suitor."
"Moth-"
"You will do this and that's FINAL! Understood."I was stunned. My parents have never been this serious.
*Sigh* "Then you will have to wait a very long time because I do not wish to choose a bride or groom, at this time." It's truly not that I don't like the idea, it's just being forced into marriage is what I don't want.
"Jungkook please-"
"No, I will attend one ball. If I don't find someone at the ball then you will have to wait until I am ready." I tried to look very serious so my parents would understand that I am not completely against the idea.
"Jungkook-"
"No, he's right Dae-Seong. Jungkook has every right to agree and disagree. At least he is giving the idea of marriage a chance." I looked at my mother and smiled, silently thanking her.
"Fine, one ball. I will begin to make arrangements. Now, let's eat, I'm starving and in need of blood." Of course, my father isn't too keen on this, but as my mother said, I am not completely giving up on the idea. Two days later~After the ball
"Please tell me that wasn't everyone." My father said.
"It was your highness." One of the servants said. My father then looked at me, "Not one caught your attention?"
"No! If I want to choose a bride, then she must also be worthy enough for the throne!" My father looked at me disappointed.
"I understand that Jungkook, but no one caught your attention?" I sighed and rubbed my forehead.
"No...they all seemed too rude. Look, I don't want to talk about this anymore! I'll go for a walk and think about it, olay!"
*sigh* "Fine, only because you tried. Now you know the rules, no public killing, and make sure you clean your mess, understood!"
"I'm 118, not 23." I walked out of the house but stopped when I heard my father.
"Eun-Ju, what am I gonna do with that kid?"
"Don't worry sweetheart. Just give him time. You of all people should know we have lots of it." I rolled my eyes and walked away from the house. I wasn't actually planning to go into the Human city, I just wanted to go out and walk around the forest.
Who knows maybe I will find my significant other.I spend almost all night walking in the forest. There is no place in particular that I am looking for but it would be nice to lay in a flower field.
I look around and spot a little clearing with flowers. "Perfect, exactly what I was looking for." I walk towards the field and as I walk, I spot a small figure sitting in the field of flowers.
