Criminal Love

Chapter 1

Lucy’s P.O.V

“Shut-up and run!” I heard one of the boys rushing by shriek. Their hands were full of bags, as they rushed breathless through the crowded streets of down town. Shortly after they passed me, three police men pushed me to the ground, as they ran chasing after the two boys. I watched the scene with my mouth open, as I realised that you don’t usually happen to be in this kind of situation every day. My mind flew in the endless imagination of what the two boys had done as my eyes rested upon a black bag sitting at my feet. I reached over for it, while my mind screamed ‘wrong’ at me. People hurried past me, mumbling angrily at the disarray caused because of the chase. I zipped the bag open; my mouth literally fell to the ground as I saw the content of the black bag. Money. The bag was full of money!

“Shit,” I whispered, as I realised what this was all about. Somehow my legs forced me to stand up as my hands pushed me through the crowd, I didn’t know  what I was doing, until I felt my feet running for life.

“Oi”! She’s one of them,” I heard someone shout, as my eyes rested upon a bunch of policemen that stared at me questioningly, my brain was crowded with a maze of questions as my heart seemed to stop, my legs came to a halt and everything went in slow motion.

“Run!” I felt a tug at my jean coat, as I was dragged by someone, my feet found its balance, as I pushed through the crowd hesitantly.

“You hear me? ‘Cause if you don’t start moving it’s the end of your pretty perfect life,” A deep voice said, my eyes rested upon a boy with dirty blond hair and a trade mark smirk plastered over his pretty face. I sucked in some fresh air to oxidise my brain, as my nerves were ready to pop any time.

“Move, or else they’ll get you too,” The guy said, pulling me behind him, my legs finally got the message as they ran for life through the full streets, with the law right at their heels. What have I gotten myself into? I should’ve left the black bag on the ground.  When we finally lost the police the guys dragged me into their secret den. The boy with dirty blond hair threw me in a dark room with a metal bed and a small broken window. The room freaked me out; with its dark corners full of shadows it reflected my deepest nightmares.

When I got up on the next morning, my back was killing me, as the metal bed was nothing like my four poster luxurious king sized heaven that waited for me in my room at home. I stood up immediately; last night’s events clouded my mind as my eyes filled up with tears of fright. My legs led me through their den, I shivered at the rubbish crowding the dirty floors. I walked into a room that resembled a kitchen, the two boys were nowhere in sight. A loud knock erupted through the den, my feet frozen to the ground as a shriek of fright caught up in my throat.

“Open the door!” I rough voice sounded from behind the metal doors. My breathing became hard, as my heart released my legs. Quietly I tiptoed towards the doors. I stock my ear on the metal surface as I tried to hear what was happening behind the doors.

“It’s the police, open the door!” The same dominating voice shrieked. I jumped away from the door, my mind swerved with questions as my body went into a shock. It’s the police! The police! The freaking police! Oh god help me.

‘Shit’ what I should do? Suddenly the doors flew open, a crowd of men dressed in black rushed in, their eyes danced around the den, until they rested on my petite freaked out body. I shivered under the intensity of their gaze.

“That’s the girl,” One of them said, signalizing to two other to move towards me. I backed up against the wall, as my heart missed every beat possible. They grabbed my hands, locking them into handcuffs and dragging me out of the den. The early morning sun struck my eyes, as a couple of tears escaped my desperate eyes. My mind swerved with questions and tons of swearing. They pushed me into a sleek black car and drove off somewhere it’s really not going to be pleasant.
