I looked over at the blonde.

She was the kind of pretty that got Instagram girls picked to do modeling without any sort of experience. That Victoria's Secret Fashion Show type of pretty.

I could smell her expensive perfume from where I was standing. She had bone straight blonde hair in a middle part that stopped at her ass, light blue eyes like butterfly wings, a slight fake tan, Botox in her pouty lips & and a super slim figure. She was draped in white diamonds & a tight black strapless cocktail dress.

It wouldn't surprise me if she was a model in real life...everything about her screamed uppity and it made me wonder how the hell she became friends with my broke ass friends.

I pointed to myself.

"Yes you." Her eyes briefly widened while she looked at her friends then she turned back to me. "Can I get a refill? This one is running kinda low, thanks." Her singsongy voice chimed as she shook the ice in her drink before setting it down and sliding it towards me.

I shook my head, "Oh, no, I don't w-"

"Oh & could you see if you guys have anything to snack on in the back? Nothing too high in carbs though obviously," She snickered lightly & patted her non existent stomach. "You understand." She gave me a smile so wide that her eyes nearly scrunched closed, she leaned her arm on the bar & turned back to her conversation.

I blinked away from whatever that last comment was supposed to be about. Not to mention, nothing about me was dressed like a fucking barkeep. "I don't work here." I couldn't help the slight edge in my tone.

"Oh, you don't?" She looked me up and down. "Then why are you behind the bar?" Slight edge lacing through her tone as well which really only made things worse.

"Does it matter? They're closed tonight," I motioned a hand towards my friends, "everyone in here already knows each other-"

"Mmmmm yeah, no. I don't know you." She shook her head & motioned towards me.

"And? You Security 'round this bitch or something?" I stepped closer to the bar.

She licked the inside of her jaw, looking me up and down once more. "No.... just very protective over my friends, it's weird like why are you getting so defensive?" She slyly smiled with a fake confused look on her face.

I leaned closer to the counter, mocking her valley girl accent, "Like why don't you get up and make your own damn drink?" I slid her glass back to her & walked away.
