Storybook puppet-like scenes flash on screen, depicting a late 17th century Salem. As June begins to tell the story, a puppet of a man points accusingly at a woman.
June, narrating : When the Salem Witch Trials began in this very town, chaos struck.
The page flips to a VERY child-friendly version of the Salem Witch Trials.
June : Many innocent people were accused of and harshly punished for practicing witchcraft or magic... but for those among them who could actually do magic–
The page flips once again to a line of people, aged child to adult, lined up and being led to a pit of fire.
June : -things were worse.
The page flips to a small child in handcuffs with a terrified look on his face being yelled at by an old man.
June : Most were too fearful to try and take a stand against the persecutors in town, and for those who were brave...
A hanging block is seen on the next page.
June : ...a dark destiny awaited. Things went on like this for months...
The page flips to show a shaded figure of a woman in a cloak and crown of laurels holding a sword
June : ...until a mysterious hero emerged. Wearing a cloak of owl feathers and carrying a sword,
The page turns again to show the mysterious owl woman leading many people into a mysterious spire with symbols glowing on its floor.
June : -she led many to safety, magic or not.
June closes the book and behind it is a group of children. Cut to June.
June : And then the survivors had kids, and some of the survivors' kids moved elsewhere had kids-
Child 1 : Get to the point, Crepe Shack Lady!
June looks annoyed at this comment, but manages to keep her cool.
June : ...and so on, and that's why there's so many people who can do magic! And, as a plus-
She gestures to a poster of a figure that vaguely resembles the owl woman from the story.
June : -that's why this symbol is all over town!
She turns back to the kids.
June : Alright, any questions? You, in the hat! Go!
Child 2 : Do you have magic powers?
June looks nervous about this question. She quickly grabs a tray of sweet crepes and passes them out with tongs.
June : ...Don't know, probably never will. Storytime over! Everyone get a crepe and go find your parents.
Child 3 : But- I had a question too!
June : Take the crepe, Peggie.
The kids leave the stand area to go find their parents. The camera pans out, revealing the name outside of the food truck, and a few shots show more of the stands at the faire, taking place at a small amusement park. Back to Crepe Crazie, June puts up a "Baking Busy" sign, but in reality is just taking a break. She heads into the back of the truck and starts freestyle rapping.
June : Late-night shift at the Renaissance Faire; I should be cooking, but I don't really care! June's the name, and rhyming's my game! It's spelt like the month, they're exactly the same!
She heads past her coworker, Magnus, making more crepes.
June, continuing : Magnus the man,
Magnus looks up confused, but then waves hello.
