Leonardo's POV

I yawned as I walked down the empty hallway. Helping the teachers with tutoring is tiring.

I decided to head to the bathroom before I finally go home.

"Why am I like this?" I heard a voice coming from a bathroom stall followed by crying.

I knocked on the door, "Hello? Are you alright in there? I heard crying from here."

"Yeah, I'm fine." I recognized the voice...

"Peter?" I asked, "Is everything alright?"

"I knew something was going on with him..."

"Leo?" Peter opened the door and hugged me, "Oh, Leo..." He started to cry more on my shoulder, "I don't wanna keep lying like this."

"Lie? W-What lie, Peter?" I felt bad asking these questions when he was obviously in pain.

He didn't reply, I didn't expect him to though.

"Whatever it is, it'll be alright. I'll be here with you." I don't know why I felt embarrassed saying that to him. Don't get me wrong, I cared about him, he's my friend. I just wanted him to be okay... I'd do anything to see him smile.

"You don't have to be alone. I'll listen to every word, Peter." I took him to the exit of the school and then saw rain outside the window.

"Crap." I thought, "I didn't bring an umbrella..." I took off my jacket and put it over Peter's head, and started walking outside.

"W-Where are we going?" Peter whispered.

"I'm taking you to my apartment, it's close. My roommate isn't coming back since he's out of town. We can talk there." I started to panic the more I thought about what might've happened to Peter...

When we arrived at my apartment, we both sat down on the sofa.

"I'm okay..." Peter said under his breath.

"You always say 'I'm okay.'" I said, "When you're not, Peter." I almost got frustrated with him that he didn't realize that he kept telling himself this, "You can show me your tears that you've quietly hidden..."

Peter looked up at me, and I could tell the look in his eyes was wondering: Can I trust you? A quick thought passed my mind before answering him.

"Of course, you can trust me..." I sighed.

"I don't have anything to show you," Peter said abruptly, standing up. "Thanks for this. But I don't need to talk to anyone. I'm fine,"

"Peter!" I exclaimed, grabbing his wrist before he could leave. "You don't have to lie. I know that you're not okay, I just want to help."

I immediately felt bad as he burst into tears again.

"You don't have to tell me anything, I just want you to know that I'm here for you, okay? If you ever want it... I'll help you."

He only nodded, but I was thankful for any response at all. I got up and grabbed an umbrella, "Here, it's still raining, you can use this."

Peter nodded, "Thanks" he whispered.

"I'll listen to your silent cry." I thought as he walked out the door.
