Pushing herself off the floor, Willow let out an annoyed huff.

"Tonight was supposed to be quick and easy! Gosh." Willow exclaimed as she sent a relentless punch to the man who had pointed his puny pistol at her.

See, Willow fights crimes at night under a mask that the public sees. However, in the day, she works at the Avenger's compound as someone like Banner and Stark, she works by their side to build and improve the Avengers' technology.

Nobody knows of her crime-fighting persona, Advocate.

Peering at the cut on her forearm that was caused by one of her enemies' slash of a knife, Willow sighed knowing she now has to cover it up before she enters the compound. After all, what kind of technician's arm is covered in blood?

After Willow had gotten the intel she was looking for, she let out a sharp breath she did not even know she was holding in.

"Now how do I cover this up.." Willow muttered to herself under her breath. She had forgotten to take her oversized hoodie with her that night, therefore needing to find an alternative that would work just as well.

She settled with one of her enemies' blazer. Thanking the lords that it was only plain black without any logo on it that would raise suspicion.

When Willow reached the compound, it was two in the morning. Thankfully so. Nobody was in the living room, so she made her way to her room, wanting to wrap up her bleeding arm.

As she pushed open the door to her room, Willow set down her duffel bag.

"Mind telling me where you have been?" The disembodied voice startled Willow, causing her to tense up as she looking up from where she set her duffel bag down.

Willow's gaze met Natasha who was sitting at the edge of her bed, back facing Willow.

"I..." Willow began, searching the depths of her brain to think of a valid excuse, but when Natasha turned around to look at Willow, the latter's mind went blank. Almost as if lost in the redhead's gaze.

Willow stiffened when she noticed Natasha scan her, pausing specifically at the way Willow's right arm looked so much stiffer than her left. This caused Natasha to raise her eyebrows before looking at Willow, as if asking her to explain.

However, before Willow even opened her mouth, Natasha stood up and walked towards Willow's bathroom cabinet. She grabbed the first aid kit and motioned towards the other to set herself down on the bed.

When Willow did, Natasha slowly lifted the blazer off of Willow, careful not to further hurt the brunette. Natasha began to gently disinfect the gash, softly apologising when she felt Willow wince.

They sat mostly in silence while Natasha began to wrap Willow's arm in a bandage to stop the bleeding and make sure the wound doesn't get infected.

That silence was broken when Natasha's concerned voice rang through. "When are you going to tell the rest?" She said, referring to the fact that Willow was the infamous and anonymous 'Advocate'.

Natasha finished wrapping up Willow's arm before realising the latter had not responded, causing Natasha to raise her head to meet Willow's gaze on her.

Willow rested her hands on her lap as she intertwined her fingers in front of her. "It's useless, no?"

"Is it?" Natasha replied, softly smirking. Only to receive a shrug from Willow.

"Why are you here?" Willow asked.

"For you." Natasha replied simply, the tone in her voice indicating finality.

Willow felt as if Natasha wanted to say more, but she didn't push it.

"It's late, you should get some sleep." Willow changed the topic.

"I can't."

"Me neither."

Natasha let out a chuckle that sent the cliche butterflies to Willow's stomach.

"I have a place. Wanna come?" Willow offered.

"Why not."

So, there they sat in a comfortable, peaceful silence, at the rooftop of the compound, staring at the stars in the moonlit night.

After awhile, Natasha rested her head on Willow's lap as she lied down, the latter playing with the redhead's hair, occasionally brushing past her scalp causing Natasha to close her eyes as she smiled peacefully, sending a smile that etched onto Willow's face.

Before Willow realised, the sun had risen, setting an amber glow into the darkness of the sky. Willow looked back down at Natasha who laid in her lap. At some point, the redhead had fallen asleep due to the calm of the whole situation. Willow smiled lightly.

She had not slept the whole night, just thinking. She thought about the feelings that had risen in the past year at the compound. Feelings for the redhead that she had grown close to.

Trapped in her thoughts, Willow had not noticed that said redhead had awoken. Natasha woke up on Willow's lap, peering at the brunette's features with a smile that set in her face.

Natasha swiftly pecked a kiss on Willow's jawline, causing Willow to snap out of her reverie before returning the kiss to the redhead's forehead.

"Willow?" Natasha asked, with a voice that would've been easily mistaken for the sound of wind if Willow didn't know any better.

"Yeah?"

"What do I do if I kind of like someone?"

Boom! A punch to Willow's stomach. Natasha liked someone else.

Natasha watched as the smile on Willow's face gradually dissipated and was replaced with a distant look.

"I don't know. Maybe you should tell him how you feel?" Willow replied, trying her hardest to keep the stinging jealousy out of her tone.

Natasha sat up in Willow's lap, gazing into the brunette's eyes.

"Who said they were a he?" This caused Willow to snap out of her jealousy as she began to lose herself in Natasha's eyes.

No more words were exchanged as Natasha pulled Willow in.

Natasha rested her hand on Willow's cheek as Willow held the back of Natasha's neck to keep her there. They smiled into the kiss. It held the longing of each other, the love they held of the other.

So, as the sun rose, tinting the sky a warm orange, Natasha sat in Willow's lap in an embrace.
