Willow approached the amber lit restaurant with a smile on her face that turned up the corners of her mouth.

She was dressed in a tight black cropped top with jeans along with a beige coat that made her feel like she was getting a warm hug. Weird but comforting.
It was pretty chilly in August so she opted for a beanie that sat atop her brunette hair.

Willow entered the restaurant and her eyes danced around the room, searching for her redheaded girlfriend. When her gaze settled, the smile on her face impossibly widened.

Natasha beckoned Willow over with her hands that were adorned with rings which Willow enjoyed toying with when she felt so.

As the brunette walked over, Natasha simply stared at her, eyes glimering with adoration.

"You look absolutely stunning." Was all Natasha was able to utter out as if in a trance.

"Wow, what happened to 'hello, how are you?'" Willow teased, amusement dancing behind her irises. Although her flattered state was undeniable by the way her cheeks filled with colour.

Natasha lightly rolled her eyes with a smirk plastered on her face. "So you gonna sit down or just stare at me the whole night?" Natasha quipped.

Now it was Willow's turn to roll her eyes. Wow, at this point she was shocked that their eyeballs hasn't fallen out of their sockets yet.

Over dinner, they shared some small talk as they ate the food they ordered. The atmosphere was light and lively. Complete melancholy. The whole night, the smiles were seemingly etched on their faces as if it's decided it's residence.

As they exited the restaurant, Natasha's arm snaked around Willow's waist. They walked quietly through the late night streets of New York.

The quiet surrounded them comfortably, no words felt like they needed to be exchanged.

Until something caught Natasha's attention. Ahead of them was a fair that was lit with colourful lights shimmered in stark contrast to the dark night sky. Music boomed loudly through the crowd, which could be felt pulsing through the grounds. People were brushing past each other hastily, busy looking at the stalls.

Without any words exchanged due to pure excitement, Natasha grabbed Willow's hand and pulled her towards the fair.

Willow's eyes widened. No way she could last in that fair, it was simply too overwhelming, not to mention, she was pretty exhausted, mentally, after working all day. She wanted to protest against it, but the redhead seemed so excited, so vulnerable, it was simply impossible for Willow to admit it. It felt too selfish.

So Willow allowed the redhead to pull her into the fair, Natasha was so eager, that she had let go of Willow's hand and walked in front her, gazing at the stalls.

Willow felt so suffocated. It was as if the room had collapsed on her. The crowds and the loud music pierced through her ear like a static. The bright lights shone into her eyes mercilessly All this threw her off. It's hard to pinpoint if this uncomfortableness was caused by the sudden change from a peaceful, quiet, and dark night into this lively, loud and bright atmosphere. Or she was simply tired and this caused her to be overstimulated and overwhelmed. It was like night and day.
