XXI: Long Dream

Y/N felt like her body fell to the ground. It felt so real just like the crow that she saw in her dream. She groaned and moved her head to the side.

"You're planning to sleep again. After going through such a great length-"

She heard a voice but she felt too sleepy to open her eyes. Even how long she sleeps, it seems that after opening her eyes something is always taking her consciousness away. It feels as if she is floating into the ocean with no direction but she felt peaceful  despite the fact of being stuck in the place.

Her eyes opened wide pulling her back to the reality. The pain of sharp fangs sinking to her neck woke her up. He smiled and pulled his face away licking the blood in his lips. Her blood is nothing special but he gave her a look as if he will eat her in a whole.

"How dare you-!" She touched her neck but there was no trace of bite marks on it.

"Wake up, girl. This is the last time, I'll pull you out." A handsome man smiled on her but she didn't felt any danger. It was a sense of relief. It felt that he is someone that she can trust based on instinct.

The man pulled away and extended his hand on her. Before she could place her  hand on his palm, he immediately grabbed her and forced her to stand up away from the bed. Everything around them suddenly  turned into pitch black.

"This must be a dream.. Who are you?" She questioned the man. Both of them started to walk but she remained behind the man. He was tightly holding her hand as they walking in the path of unknown.

The man didn't answer but he smiled. After awhile, he spoke, "A dream indeed." He answered except his identity. It remained mystery but Y/N decided not to ask not wanting to make the man comfortable. She looked up but he didn't turn around to meet her gaze.

She didn't know how long they need to walk but it felt like the were going in loop.  There was no light except darkness. She was getting tired but she couldn't stop. If she didn't, the man might disappear.

It's was scary to be here so please be with me.

"Henry.." She muttered and the man stopped making her to bump on his back. "Hey.." she called out on him.

"Who are you? What happened?" This time, it was the man who asked the question but she froze unable to answer. The question is too simple but she couldn't utter any word.

"You are close to becoming his living doll. You couldn't even remember your name." He let go of her hand and smirked pushing her  down. Instead of falling to the ground, she felt her body falling deeper. The feeling of fear rushed to her body but she couldn't scream. The man only looked at her without any expression.

Series of events from the past flooded in her mind  as she continuously fall down. Everything that happened including the memories when she was being controlled by henry flashed inside her head.

"My name is Y/N.. the pauper princess who wanted to save her poor sister. I have a butler named Peter.. A loyal guard named Ashworth.. Married to .." she gritted her teeth and clenched her fist. "W-why.." she mumbled.

She felt a strong pair of arms catching her. The man smiled enjoying the despair on the woman's expression. The dark scene changes bring the two of them in the  balcony.

"Did the heroine woke up from her nightmare?" He asked. She quickly pushed him away creating a distance between them.

"I..saw you before." She remembered that this man was in the wedding back then.

"Good thing. You remember me now but once everything ends. I'll introduce myself to you properly. In the way you'll never forget." He smirked making his black eyes turned red. Just like Henry. She knew it wasn't a coincidence. Peter's warning back then echoes in her mind but its too late. She's already sealed in Henry's chains.

"It wasn't too late yet. Since our contract is going to end. He will soon lose everything that he treasures just like his father." Her eyes widened at the man's words.

He walked closer to her but she backed away until her back reaches the wall. There was no way to escape from the unknown man. Everything around them was pitched black except on the spot that they were in.

She couldn't move from her position. He took her hand and placed a dagger on it. "Once you stab me. You'll wake up from this long dream. It's now the time that you end this nightmare."

Her eyes widened and felt her body moved on her own. She gripped on the dagger and stabbed the man's heart.

"Y/N..."

Henry's eyes widened as the dagger pierced his chest. He smiled and hugged her tightly making the blade to bury deeper in his heart.

"I'm sorry..."
