Zeo Abyss x Reader - A Terribly Broken Heart Healed (Part 1)

*A/N - In this oneshot, I will use quotes from the episode, "The Final Countdown" from Beyblade Metal Masters. They won't be exact but I was a little creative to make this oneshot more dramatic. AGAIN - quotes, characters, and others do NOT belong to me. Credit and ownership goes to the creator(s)/owner(s) of the show, regards to my tweaking of the dialogue in the episode!! Hope you enjoy!!

Your POV (Two Weeks Ago):

Once you heard that Toby was sick with some unknown illness - you, Masamune, and Zeo trained every single day in hope that he will get better sooner but once Masamune saw Gingka at the final battle of the Battle Bladers tournament, he left and the only people that were left were you and Zeo. To make things worse, you moved away to another place in the country and it has been weeks since you last saw and talked to Zeo. You, Masamune, and Toby kept in touch in your new home, but many times you tried to talk to Zeo but no words were heard from him since you moved away. A little while ago, you're back in the USA trying to make amends with your long lost friends but what you came to devastatingly broke your heart. You came to the beyblade stadium to watch Zeo and Masamune compete against each other in the final battle of the World Championships. By how the two boys were looking at each other, you felt a lot of tension between the two of them. A little while into the match, you hear and see Masamune trying to compromise with Zeo on why he shouldn't be angry at him for leaving. 

"Zeo, enough!!" Masamune shouted.

"*scoff* and lose to a complete traitor like you, Masamune?! *sarcastic laugh* Never!!" Zeo spat.

"Zeo, listen to me!! I left to battle other bladers in order to become number one so Toby can get better and have his dream of being number one!! Please listen -"

"Why should I listen to someone like you Masamune?! You left me and Toby!! I had no other way to make Toby get better except to join Ziggurat and obey his demands so he'll help Toby get better!!" Zeo then smirked evilly. "You NEVER changed, not then and not now!! Recklessly, charging and attacking without thinking!! I, along with Team Starbreaker, have breezed through these matches with no effort at all. Seeing you and your teammates, I am DISGUSTED to even look at you guys!! You and them are WEAK!! All of you don't deserve to compete in the World Championships!! The person who will win this tournament for Toby's sake will be ME, not you!!" 

Masamune was struck with a wave of shock by Zeo's statement. You also could see that his heart was broken completely and he averted eyes with Zeo then clenched his fists and finally looked up at Zeo with enough courage and strength.

"You're wrong, Zeo!!" Masamune shouted.

"Huh?" spoke Zeo.

"You've got it all wrong, Zeo!! Everything you said wasn't right at all!! But I do admit that I do things without thinking of the outcome it could bring. In the tournament, I was able to bond with other bladers, from other countries, heart to heart, and learn about them and their burning Bey spirits!! I came up here to battle you, so I can get through to you and be friends again!! But- *sniffle*" Masamune's voice then broke and tears started to well up inside his eyes but continued to speak. 

"But now I see that it's impossible to do that because I now know that ever since you joined Ziggurat and H.D Academy, you're too far gone!!" Masamune's fists then started to shake. "I also understand that you were not the Zeo that I once knew!! Same for Toby too!! And also... it seems that you've forgotten someone that cared a lot about you too!!" Masamune cried out. 

Zeo's facial expression changes before going back to his angry one. 

"HA!! Like who, Masamune?! Someone who is as weak as you?! A traitor?! HUH?!" Zeo yelled out in rage. 

"NO!! It's...-" Masaumune paused while Zeo was waiting for him to reply. 

"WHO, Masamune?! WHO?! ANSWER ME!!" Zeo screamed. 

"It's Y/N, Zeo!!" Masamune replied finally then Zeo switches from his angry psycho face to one of complete utter shock. While seeing this from the bleachers, you really hoped that Zeo would remember you and stop all the chaos that was happening but Zeo then shook his head back and forth like he was being manipulated then smirked evilly again, while laughing and scoffing, not sympathetic at all.

"SO WHAT, Masamune?! I don't give a shit about her at all!! She's probably just as weak as you. I want absolutely NOTHING at all to do with her!!! She means NOTHING!!!"Zeo screamed out. 

Masamune was then even MORE shocked then he was before. His heart broke for you because while you, him, and Toby talked to each other on the phone while you moved away, you talked about Zeo a lot and admitted that you liked him, more than a friend. Maybe now, like in love with him. Which is why you felt the WORST feeling involving friendship and love. Betrayal - like being back-stabbed by your best friend, at first, then crush, now lover. You hoped desperately that Zeo didn't really mean what he said but you decided that if those are his true feelings for you, then it is what it is. Along, with the stabbing pain in your heart, inside your chest, and fresh streams and rivers of tears running down your face, you left the stadium, never looking back and not having any heart or feelings inside at all. Not long after you left, you heard that Masamune lost against Zeo and how he was defeated, after the painful and agonizing screams you heard from Zeo. While knowing that even though Zeo said those hurtful things, you were sure that Masamune defended and stood up for you like a true friend who helps others who are in need. A few days later, you saw Zeo and Masamune once again, still heartbroken, and also on the screen on a roof across from another roof that you were sitting on, was something or someone you'd never think to see or better yet, hear. A new blader, named Faust, who looked a lot similar to Toby but you couldn't really start to believe that guy was really Toby but the more you looked at the mysterious new blader, you realize that you were unfortunately wrong. Zeo and Masamune also agreed for the same reason you did. That 'Faust' had the EXACT same eyes as Toby. It wasn't long till a full-on battle broke out into the city. Ziggurat and his goons got away luckily, but while they were gone, you and all the other bladers, along with Masamune, swore that Beys will NOT be used to reasons like Ziggurat's. At first, Gingka's dad, Ryo, was reluctant to let them go and stop Ziggurat but was eventually convinced to let them go put an end to Zigguart and his Spiral Force. Finally, after that, you and the others embarked to Hades City, with hope to stop Ziggurat but that wasn't the only reason you joined the others Hades City - the other was to find then confront Zeo and speak to him, about what happened between him and Masamune at the final battle. With all your might and hope that you had left, you went with the other bladers to Hades City to stop everything, so they will be alright, especially to you, Toby, Masamune. But mostly Zeo and you too. After all, all one can do in times of crisis and chaos, is hope with all your being and heart.
