Chapter Fourteen

Gabriella's POV:

After the talk with Eli, I just didn't want to sleep at all.

I still don't think I'll be joining as a member.

The door of the building opened and Matteo walked in.

Whoa, it took me one day and I can speak his name fluently, but two days to say Eli without  saying the Beta.

The mate bond, I guess.

"Hi." He said.

I didn't look at him and turned my back to him.

Seeing him makes me wanna reject him right now.

I hate him!!

"What is it? " I asked still not looking at him.

"Just wanted to know if you've considered it. " he said simply.

I rolled my eyes and asked "You won't stop will you? "

"Just stop being stubborn and just join as a member. " he groaned.

"My dad and best friends will be here soon and I'll leave whether you like it or not. " I said. "No fucking way am I being a member of your pack. " I added.

"Why are you soo stubborn?! " he asked frustrated.

"Because some one rejected me.....Wait I don't even know why? " I said standing up and walking over to the cell.

"Why did you reject me? Is it because you like someone else? Is it that blondy I saw the day I went to your office? Or wait is there something wrong... "

"You talk too much!! No it's not, I just don't want one and I don't have any relationship with the blondy you saw! " he answered very tired.

I rolled my eyes and went back sitting on my mattress.

"When you leave please call your sister in, she's the only one I know isn't rude and wants to accept me the way I am. " I said.

Ahhh.

"Am not leaving 'til you agree being a member. " he said.

"Can't I just stay there without being one? " I asked tilting my head a little to face him.

"No." He answered bluntly.

"Then am not being a member! " I said returning my back to him.

He groaned and then I heard the building door closed.

He has left.

'Are you angry with him? ' Ashley asked.

Why will I Ashley? He's my mate, I don't hate him and I'm not angry with him, i just don't know how to react.

It's just good a girl don't show a guy how much she loves him, ya know? They'll just take advantage of that.

Well some of them will.

'Whatever. '

The door opened again and Trisha walked in.

"Hey." I said looking at her.

Eli was behind her and he opened the cell gates.

"Well hello grumpy. " I said waving at him.

"Hi." He replied.

She walked in and Eli locked the door behind her leaving the building.

"My brother was here right? " she asked sitting next to me.

I nodded and sighed resting my back on the mattress.

"Why won't he accept me? " I asked.

Wait why am I even asking? Am so broken, no one wants someone this broken.

'Don't say it like that, you're beautiful. '

Stop trying to cheer me up Ashley.

"He will, he just need a little push to know that. " she said resting next to me.

"Well am sure I'll be here for the rest of my life. " I said closing my eyes.

"You won't, I'll try convincing him to let you stay without being a pack member. " she said.

"You shouldn't am sure he has his reasons. " I said.

She sighed and looked at me.

"Wanna know why he's like that? " she said. "He never talks to anyone and is very cold towards people. " she adds.

Well there's a backstory.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"Well since our parents died he distant himself from everyone and mostly focus on his work, he curse himself everyday saying it's his fault they are dead," she continues. "He was kinda a mischievous child when he was young and would sneak out everyday regardless our parents warning."

"He wasn't in the pack the time the incident happened, he went pranking with his friends. My mom was screaming everywhere for him but he was no where to be seen." "I was placed in the safe room but got the other side of the story from him. Apparently, he was caught and in order to save him our parents had to risk their lives. But still we were still hunted because they wanted to get rid of every blood of this pack." She said tears flowing from her eyes as I cleaned them.

"He barely escaped but managed to run far away but not before witnessing our parents neck being snapped by other wolves. He still blames himself and distant himself from everyone fearing he would kill them too." She ended.

I hugged her as she was crying, I'm so sorry for him.

Well I guess am not the only one who's broken.

"That doesn't say why he won't accept me! Does he think I'll kill him or I don't know him enough? " I asked unsure.

"No, stop blaming your self. It's not you. " she said.

I sighed and closed my eyes again.

Fatigue took over and I slept off, still wondering why?

Why he doesn't wants me...
