Once again I wake up to an empty bed, it's cold in the sheets. The fire from yesterday has dwindled to dark ash but the room still holds that warmth my skin craves. I see a faint light from the kitchenette and look over; Glen stands making something on the hob. It's funny seeing him cook, I'm usually the one that does it. After last night's mini disaster I'm not sure whether to disturb him so I settle back into the covers, flicking silently through my phone. There's so many notifications hm..oh my god.
Frantically I scroll up and see myself splayed out like some kind of dead cat.
His laugh reverberates round the room when he sees me; he's carrying a tray with various breakfast items, the tea in the pot sways when he laughs.
"You arsehole.." I smile shaking my head at him, I should be mad but I can't help but laugh
"Oh that's not a nice thing to say to someone that's made you breakfast now is it?" he sniggers sliding in the bed beside me. My moody expression doesn't stop him passing me over helpings of porridge with all my favourite fruits in it coupled with a full mug of sugary tea. I hum over the cup as it warms me up; I'd happily stay in the bed surrounded with the beautiful decor of the lavish room all day but I'm sure we've got something to do?
"What're we doing today?" I ask, scraping the last of the porridge out the bowl. He's not looking my way, done with food he's looking out the window - it's a blizzard out there! The white lumps of snow hit the window and melt quickly and suddenly I'm glad of the warmth in here.
"I've got some thing's arranged, not yet though..I'm feeling lazy." He mumbles, stroking the top of my hand absentmindedly.
"Ugh, I'm so full. That was great..how did you know I liked porridge and all those fruits? Never mind, it was amazing.." I chuckle rubbing my full stomach. I'm gonna need to lay here for a while before even thinking about going anywhere. I sit up and look at the awful picture of me again..
"I still can't believe you posted that! What time was it?" I giggle, moving closer to Glen to share the screen. He takes it from me laughing like earlier;
"It'll never get old! Oh about 4am you hit me with your arm and it woke me up so, I thought why not? Haha it's got loads of comments.." he's still laughing, there's no point arguing over it, it's out there now.
"Look. That one says I look like a dead starfish..that's nice!" I laugh ignoring the vaguely inappropriate ones that raise a few eyebrows from other fans...
"There's some pretty crazy one's jesus.." he carries on laughing dropping the phone, holding his belly
"You're really a little boy aren't you?" I follow him flopping down in fits of giggles
"Well, we better go do some grown up things then eh?" The thought stops my heart but it's misplaced he leaves the bed a faint chuckle still in his voice..
"I see how your mind works missy, no such luck we've not got enough time for that...it's snow ski time!" Oh god..
"Come on love, it'll be fun!"
"How is falling on my face in the snow fun? I can't even drive those things.."
I watch him completely ignore me as we both get dressed. I'm surprised I can walk considering the amount of clothes I have on, we both look like the Michelin Man! Chuckling he takes my hand, pulling me out of the hotel;
The snow falls in clumps, freezing my face it stings like nettles. This is definitely not my idea of fun at all. The crunch of the white death under our feet as we come to a standstill in front of a pair of snowmobiles - Glen turns to face me and smiles at my dull expression.
