Just A Monster (KP FIC)

Both me and Panther roamed the sector rooms until we found the slimepups in the same place I had left them, mourning the death of their previous member. We wasted no time in striking them with everything we had. The moment they saw Panther it was like a wave of adrenaline some how gave them the ability to run again, their normal instinct having returned all to late. After some time we took down the majority of the pups, as of currently we were chasing a bright slimepup with a golden color, a rare variant to be exact. Panther jumped forward in an attempt to grab the pup before it ran out of the halls and into the open area of the crystal cavers. The slimepup made a sharp turn into a different room as the feline skidded to a halt, I had already lost track of it by the time they stumbled and slid straight into a medium sized crystal that was slowly growing from the tiled ground. 

"FUCK!" They cursed as they struggled to stand on their feet again. Panther roared loudly and punched the crystal, it became shards within seconds as it's white glow dimmed and faded. I chuckled a bit, stopping my self before they turned me into shredded pieces of flesh and meat.

"Where'd that asshole go?!" They continued. Panther whirled their head around wildly in an attempt to find the rare jellybean, not even it's glow was faintly visible. It had completely vanished with one sharp turn.

"I think they got away.." I mumbled as I nervously cringed. We wouldn't have been able to kill it ourselves anyway, those little guys are known to be stronger than a regular slimepup due to their rarity. 

"No shit!" They cursed again. Surely their temper couldn't get much worse right? Their eyes WERE only glowing a bloody red. I shook a bit and scratched the back of my head as Panther punched the walls in a fit of fury. 

"I was going to suggest we stopped here anyway, we did kill the entire group." I stated as I slowly approached the heated feline, if I had startled them I'd surely lose my fur. Panther huffed and clenched their fist as they turned their head towards me. Shit.

"Fine, I'm gonna find that little brat though!" They hissed. I quickly nodded as they shoved past me, making their way back towards the interrogation room where all those dead pups were. Considerably for a small meal if I'm correct. I wondered if I should even follow them or not, they seemed really pissed off about not being able to get that gold one. I sighed and hurriedly made my way beside them. They curled their lip and dragged their claws against the stone wall, tearing into it with ease. 

"You do realize that was a GOLDEN pup right? If we don't find it someone else surely will." I added. I wasn't really trying everything in my power to cool their temper. I really don't want them to kill me over this though. They looked up at me with a face of disgust and both questioning with a flick of their tail, the colorful blood of a slimepup making it even more intimidating. I cringed slightly and moved my paw up to cover my face.

"Nevermind." I utter.

"That's what I thought." They hissed. Feeling a bit awkward, I decided to let silence settle the both of us as we walked down the corridor. We walked around the glass biome and found ourselves at the interrogation rooms again, only something was wrong. VERY wrong. Sinox accompanied by a few slime hounds examining the bodies of the slimepups with utter shock and hatred. Of course. But how did they find them here?

"I don't understand, we only left them here for a few minutes!" Sinox exclaimed. I could hear Panther growling beside me as I shifted in my stance, trying to make my self presentable if we were ever noticed by the party. The moment I saw the glowing golden slimehound I knew something that the both of us supposedly didn't. It wasn't just a random group of lone little pups, it was a family. The pups most likely having being left here before the blackout occurred. Panther cleared their throat, gaining the attention of both the slimehounds and Sinox. My face began burning as they stared at the both of us, I could feel the flames of burning hatred from some of the other hounds. It made me sick. 

"What the hell are you lot doing here?" Panther fumed. They had already been fed up with the occurrences of this blackout, having a bunch of randoms surround our meals wasn't making the situation any better.

"Well, Panther. We were just coming to retrieve our group of slimepups and they all seem to be dead." Sinox explained. They clearly had an attitude trailing at the end of their tone. 

"I suspect you had something to do with this, and maybe your little friend aswell?" They added. The feline simply scoffed and rolled their eyes.

"I didn't do that." They sneered. Clearly Panther wasn't taking our current situation to heart. Having brushed off majority of things thrown at them.

"I'm not fucking stupid Panther!" Sinox suddenly shouted, their tone had shifted to an aggressive one. They weren't very pleased at the corpses of the hounds children. I flinched slightly and took a step back, my instincts telling me to defend my self and run. But I ignored it. Panther snarled and slammed a balled fist against the wall.

"Watch your tone with me Sinox! I'm not one of your little dogs!" They shouted back. This angered the slime hounds as they glared at Panther with growls, snapping their jaws. My eyes snapped towards different directions as I was desperate to make sure none of them would attack us, I could feel tears welling up but I ignored it for the time being. I grounded my self by gripping onto the tufts of fur on my arm.

"Just look at the both of you! Blood all over your pelts! How could you do that to all those innocent pups?!" Sinox began scolding us, Panther adding onto it with their own arguments. As they did so I look towards the hounds to see them staring at me with hatred, the golden looking around and calling out for their child. My ears pinned to the back of my head as I stepped back again. Surprisingly enough, the hounds lurked towards us as Sinox and Panther continued to fight with each other. I wanted to gain their attention, shout or scream at them before it was to late. But nothing came out, my words stumbled as I became a stuttering mess, the hounds getting closer and closer to us, the sounds of screaming and yelling on my side. It was a rush of overwhelming feelings that had come to me all of a sudden. Giving me the idea to collapse to the ground and just cry. Maybe then they will stop arguing with each other and the hounds would have some pity for my broken soul, it all had just started getting worst. The hounds were just about close enough to snatch me from my stance and throw me to the wall and Sinox and Panther had only gotten more aggressive with each other. I stood stuck as the hounds began splitting in different directions of the hall and growling. I look back at the others as my head just began spinning. I bared my teeth and looked down at Sinox, shouting in Panthers face as they revolted against each other. Thinking as fast as I could, I made a decision I knew I'd regret. I swiftly launched my head downwards and locked my jaws onto their head, digging my teeth in for only a second before throwing them towards the hounds as they screamed in pain. They held their face with their paws as the floors were painted with their blood. 

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Panther scowled, their eyes wide as they stared at Sinox in complete horror. Watching as the hounds came to their aid.

"ARE YOU INSANE?!" They added again. Significantly waiting for a response as they looked up at me, a mind printing look on their face as their eyes began to bleed red and their lips were curled back into a snarl with their brows furrowed. I looked back at Sinox. The speed of my breathing picking up pace as I watched them writhe around on the ground in pain. I grabbed hold of both of my ears and pinned them to my head as I ran the opposite direction of everyone, not even bothering to check if they were okay. I didn't know if anybody was following, I didn't care. I needed to get away from all of this.
