The haunting of Phantom manor

Chapter 1

It was a bright day as Galaxy cursed her friends for making her take a vacation. She did not need one and there were bigger issues to deal with, like Afton, but no they pushed it onto her. The blonde didn't mind that she chose somewhere that was sunny but a ranch was a shock.

She did not peg Kat as someone who owned a ranch. Then again she did inherit it. Which led Galaxy to where she currently was, horseback riding. The horse named Honey was a sweetheart but easily scared. It took Galaxy a little to get the horse to trust her but eventually she did.

Galaxy smiled before yelping as Honey was startled by a snake and took off running. The young woman held the reins tightly as the horse ran. After what felt like forever Honey stopped running. Galaxy sighed and got off the horse. She smiled when Honey nudged her with her snout.

"Glad to see you are ok." She told her.

However something spooked her again, making her go on to her back legs neighing. Galaxy yelped falling onto the ground. Before Honey could someone had grabbed her reins.

"Woah there. No need to get scared." The person said.

Galaxy looked at the person and saw it was a male in a butler uniform. He the saw Galaxy.

"Are you ok miss." He asked.

"Yeah. I wasn't aware we were so close to a town." Galaxy said now noticing the sign and got back on her feet.

"From your surprise I am not surprised. I am Jasper Jones." He said introducing himself.

"Nice to meet you Jasper. My name's Galaxy Tsukino." Galaxy said with a smile.

"Pleasure to meet you as well. What brings you to Thunder Mesa." Jasper asked as Galaxy took Honey's reins.

"I was out for a ride on Honey, who belongs to a friend of mine since she has me using her ranch for a vacation and the poor girl was scared by a snake. She then took off running blindly in one direction." She explained.

"How unfortunate." Jasper said.

Galaxy nodded as she rubbed Honey's snout. However when footsteps were heard and the horse saw, she freaked again. It startled both Jasper and Galaxy, which caused neither of them to grab the reins and Honey ran off. Galaxy groaned now stranded.

"I hope I wasn't the cause of the horse being startled." A different male’s voice said.

Galaxy turned to see a man in a rather fancy suit with a top hat, cape and cane. Jasper then spoke up.

"Of course not master. The poor girl must have been frightened by something else." He said.

The man nodded before he saw Galaxy.

"And who is this lovely young woman." He said looking towards Jasper.

"OH yes. Master this is Galaxy. Galaxy this is Henry Ravenswood, my boss and a member of the family who founded this town." Jasper said.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Ravenswood." Galaxy said holding out her hand to shake his.

"You as well." Henry said taking her hand and shaking it before kissing the top of it too.

Jasper then cleared his throat to get his master's attention.

"With her horse leaving her here, she will need a way to get back to the ranch she is staying at." He said.

Galaxy then groaned realizing something.

"I have no idea how to get back. I was so distracted by trying to stay on Honey I didn't pay attention to anything else." She said.

The two males looked at one another, one delighted and the other concerned.

"There is nothing to change that now. Why don't you stay here for a few days, you did say you were on vacation. In fact you can stay in Ravenswood manor." Henry said.

"Are you sure? I would hate to intrude." Galaxy said looking at him.

"I wouldn't have offered if I was not. Jasper why don't you show Galaxy around the town while I return to the manor to have her room prepared." Henry said.

"Of course master." Jasper said.

He then began to lead Galaxy towards the town. As they walked away Henry kept his eyes on Galaxy’s retreating form. He was certainly going to enjoy this young woman's visit to the town. If fact he was thinking she would make a excellent addition to the town.

Hi everyone. I know this isn't one of my other fics but this one was not leaving my head anytime soon. The inspiration for this was a mix of the ride and the rp I am doing with Blueape56. I figured it would be fun to put my own spin on Phantom manor and it's characters. My version of the characters are a bit unexpected but that is how I like doing things. Until next time bye.
