Ladies and gentleman, here we go. The time is now.

On Saturday night, we all went to the Russo's for our presentation. Emi opted out of going Black Friday shopping with her friends to work on her presentation.

She took her job so seriously,  she gave up a shopping spree.  That's dedication!

The four adults were sitting in the living room having some red wine. Jayden and Seth were acting as the bartenders and waiters for them. We prepared a spread of meat, cheese, and bread for the adults to enjoy.

Emi got to work on setting up her PowerPoint presentation. She took her job at making the arguments seriously.  She treats everything like a court case, so she knows exactly what she's doing.

"Why exactly are we dressed like a boy band?" I asked, looking down at my shirt.

Emi needed an extra twenty-four hours to prepare our outfits. She made four t-shirts with the logo of the ski lodge on the front. She bejeweled hers and mine, while leaving Jayden and Seth's shirt plain.

"Because boy bands are awesome!" Jayden exclaimed, pretending to play guitar.

"I could die happily without these shirts," Seth muttered.

The back of the shirts say: There's no better family getaway than the lodge.

"Matching outfits presents a united front," Emi explained. "We need to show the adults that we're in this together. Plus, with the money I put into the shirts, they'll see how serious we are."

"We're almost eighteen. That means we're almost adults too," Seth pointed out.

The four of us were standing in Jayden's bedroom waiting to make our entrance downstairs. Emi claimed that the adults needed more wine in them before we started making our arguments.

Emi planned to do most of the talking, while the rest of us only added our opinions when Emi looked in our direction.

"The ninja turtles are about as united as any other group," Seth added.

"Yeah," Jayden drawled out looking only at Seth. "We're best friends. All four of us. Friends since we were kids, and we'll all be friends forever."

"Alright! Alright! Stop with the puppy dog eyes, I can't take it anymore!" Seth shouted. He stood in front of Jayden's bedroom door keeping us all locked inside. "I need to tell you guys something. Something serious and terrifying."

Emi and I took a seat on the edge of Jayden's bed. Jayden remained standing, and he slowly coerced Seth away from his bedroom door. He kept a gentle hand on Seth's shoulder, as he took a few deep breaths before looking at Emi and I.
