With harsh winds and hail damaging the eyes of soldiers, the morale was low and the journey showed that. Mihos, the Ground shaker, was leading the charge. His heart was set on wiping out the enemy and answering the call of aid to the city. He was a king who showed his people that he leads by example, not as a coward hiding on a throne in his protected castle. His heart and soul always ache for the guts, the gold, and the glory is all he wanted on the battlefield. In his early days as a younger prince, he would never see the need for thought or a good plan, however with age comes wisdom and with that comes strategies.

Nowadays in his old age, he had no time for his lack of strategy and lack of structure. He needed his men to know what the formations were and needed the finest training. The northern city, Polaris, called for help, through the holo secure lines. Mihos was against going due to the past relationship between the two major cities, Aerostatus and Polaris. They had a disagreement that led to the third Great War when the wolves wanted their people to not be controlled by lions. They saw that the hierarchy was oppressive and they should not have their way of life dictated by a king that does not live there. The war led to the being a free nation with many laws to oppose the South. Even though they do like to rub salt into the wound, they are still a supportive nation that is allied with his people, so to ignore a call to aid is a call for war. The transports slowed and landed with a clunk shaking the men inside the iron bellies of the whale. The doors open as the sun rises over the horizon, painting the sky with purples and oranges one would only see on the most expensive of fabrics. There is nothing more satisfying than the first step out of the iron belly and the wave of fresh air. With the freshly fallen snow covering everything, leaving a crunch underfoot. The weight of his ax rested on his shoulder as the troops lined up to prepare, all edged for a chance to stretch their legs and walk around instead of being in the cramped transports. The second in command, Mihos's best friend and top general, Devlend Brimmus. A boorish man with a pig-like nose to pair well with the smell of beer and smoked meats. Or could have been a new cologne. "Mate we got the call, so let's get moving on. I'm starting to get a bat wing and I can't fix it while standing around" he always could say the oddest things to cut through the quiet.

"You are a mess friend"

"Thank you my wife loves it"

"MEN...and women, we have a call from a cold ass place and I hate the cold so let's wrap it up before my armor freezes. Formation two delta, squad two with General Devlend, and the rest of you sad saps with me." They knew their orders and began to file into place like a beautiful line of dominos ready to fall over. 2000 of them marched through the open elevators based in the hangar bay; they split into more teams of two since the platforms couldn't hold all of them. They lead up to an open-air field in the military district of the city. Devlend shouted from the other open rail track of his elevator, but the buzzing and sounds of the air rushing by drowned out his voice, it all seemed odd that no one was even in the hangar in the first place. After what felt like an hour the platforms stopped and the rails pulled in on themselves opening up to the silent city.

The men held their breath, any insecurity was proven true, with what seemed to be a single minute of held breath. The whispers started, the whispers turned to murmurs and those soon turned to full-blown shouting of confusion. The city of Polaris hasn't always been a superpower or; a popular city like the one to the east but still had a good 1.5 mil people so for the city to be dead quiet the men were instantly petrified. The call to be a leader and settle them down echoed, though the feeling to do so left the war veteran of a king. For the first time in his life, he was scared, the lion king was terrified. His pride and courage were failing him as his knees failed him, Devlend grabbed him by the shoulder to hold him up without making him look weak."It can't be, I thought you stopped him? Do you think you could do it again?"
