"Alright, children! All of you are really naughty at home and school so you have been sent to the Sunnyside summer camp for naughty kids! Here, you will do all sorts of fun things! You will all be separated into groups of five and given a supervisor!" A shrill voice said, the speaker a short, plain woman in a business suit. "To start we will have Lucy Boron, Frenrir Pollick, Sky Mortis, Hap Ypres, and Gilbert Cer. Your supervisor is Mr. Jones."
The five children turned toward the one responsible for them for the next two months. They all took in his scowling face and crossed arms, assessing how he seemed entirely the opposite of willing to be here.
They all came to the same conclusion as he stomped toward them.
We will make this guy's life a living Hell.
The next two weeks were spent with getting to know each other and finding that they were all quite alike.
Lucy Boron, the only girl and the youngest, was quite cunning and her tongue was practically dripping with silver. Her innocent blue eyes and ringlets of blonde hair made her seem angelic. At seven she was smarter than most thirteen year olds.
Frenrir Pollick feared nothing and never backed down from a challenge, quickly becoming known as the hot-head in their group. His red hair was perfect for his attitude and his eyes were as green as emeralds. He was nine years old, the oldest by only a few months.
Sky Mortis was quiet and often overlooked, the biggest mistake to make. He was the 'shadow leader' of the crew and his dark hair and eyes only added to that. At only eight years old he was surprisingly loyal to his friends.
Hap Ypres was the 'public figure' and always had a smile on his face. With light brown hair and green eyes, he had a knack for any sort of mechanics. At only nine he was quickly becoming a master at taking things apart.
Gilbert Cer was the demon of the group, and proud of it. He had light brown hair and suspiciously red eyes, and was the team brawler. At nine he was the second in command.
This little crew was the worst the camp had ever seen and only one month in were they shipped home. They stayed in contact through phones and were quite proud of the gang they managed to get together of all the delinquents their age in their various towns.
The next summer they managed to meet again, this time at one of Lucy's spare houses. As her parents were millionaires they often shipped her to a small house in a small town where she couldn't ruin their important meetings as she had before.
This time they all managed to convince their parents to drive them to her house, saying it was the drop off for the camp they were supposed to go to. Sky had managed to cancel their involvement in camp activities so their parents wouldn't get calls saying their kids were missing. Lucy had just rode with Frenrir, who lived only a few towns over.
"Hap! Set up cameras! We don't want any adults near here! Lucy! Make sure there are no more maids left! Sky! Go to town and get us some money! Gil, go with him! Dismissed!" Frenrir cried, pointing at each person as he assigned them jobs.
They all ran off to fulfill their various duties as Frenrir pulled out a clipboard.
He pulled up a map of the two story house and started labeling who would sleep where.
In bedroom #1; the only one downstairs, Sky and Gil would share. As Sky was scared of the dark and being alone while being closer to Gilbert than any of the others.
Lucy would take bedroom #3; the one to the left of the stairs once you ascended them. It had some empty space where she could set up her easel and paint.
Hap got the room to the right of the stairs, labeled bedroom #2. It had a large screen perfect for his cameras to be monitored on.
Frenrir himself would get office #1, the one in the basement. It had a wall made of sheets separating it from a Frenrir-made bedroom. He had dragged some sleeping bags down and that was it.
After Sky and Gilbert got back two hours later- town was a bit farther away than originally thought- everyone gathered for dinner in the dining room.
After Hap's food was ate- his family ran a restaurant and he knew how to make some of their dishes- Frenrir called a meeting.
"I was told by the kids that run our gangs when we can't that they have started calling us the Marauders. Should we keep the name?"
Hap's hand immediately shot up, his brain already picking apart and analyzing the situation.
Hap spoke at Frenrir's nod. "Right! We could keep it, but change it into a different language! With our other hand they all mean these same thing, just in different languages!" Hap nodded and tried to look wise, his ear splitting grin ruining the effect.
"I would agree, but shouldn't we be more like the Council of Originals? Or something of the like? We are the official Leaders." Lucy was drawing on herself with a multicolored pen and moved from her right arm to her left leg.
Her tank top, shorts, and sneakers exposed a lot of skin that she was quickly covering in doodles.
"I can't 'gree with ya there Luce." Gilbert grinned, leaning back in his chair and itching his head. "The thing is, we ain't the Original nuthin. Jus' kids who formed a gang then went and got ourselves more people."
"After we formed that gang, Cer, We each went home and created our own branches. For example, my branch is more specialized in getting us money we need because all the members are rich. Your branch is made up of fighters and people who don't mind dirty hands. Sky's branch has hospital connections and conceals your people from the authorities when you go to the hospital. We are the Original members of the first gang. Hence, the Original part."
Everyone gave the two their utmost attention, watching the argument like a tennis match.
After a few more minutes Frenrir came to a conclusion. He sat in the chair in an odd squat, hugging one of his legs and fiddling with his pant leg. He stood on the chair and clapped, causing everyone to look at him.
"We will allow ourselves to be called the Marauders. Any objections?"
Gilbert rolled onto the table and layed across it, facing Frenrir.
"Ya bin watchin' take many copper shows is the don't ting I 'ject." He drawled, pulling a laugh out of everyone as Frenrir glared at him.
"It's settled then. Meeting adjourned, my fellow Marauders!"
"Right arm green, Gilly!" Hap announced, causing a groan to come from the group in front of him.
The kids were playing Twister and it was quite the task for them.
"Gilbert! Your knee is digging- umf!" Lucy fell, Gilbert landing on her as he too lost his balance.
They both managed to wiggle off the mat, leaving only Sky and Frenrir. Both were in extremely complicated positions and their limbs were shaking from the strain.
"Frenny! Left leg purple!" Hap was all too happy to deliver his order.
Frenrir groaned as he lift his leg up and carefully put it over Sky's, touching his toes to the required dot.
Now Frenrir was in a split with Sky between his legs. Sky was in a crab walk form and seemed to be enjoying the game immensely.
"Do you have no bones?!" Frenrir exclaimed.
Sky had managed to twist until his lower body was still in a crab walk, but now his upper body was nearly facing the floor with no difficulty.
"I'm a natural contortionist and I've received training." Sky smirked as Frenrir dropped, slowly getting up gracefully.
"I hate you. So much." Frenrir panted, throwing an arm over his eyes.
"I'll make us food!" Hap jumped from his criss cross position and ran to the kitchen.
Sky followed to help him, quietly listening as Gilbert talked to him.
Lucy went to her room and changed into a dark green hoodie and jeans, pulling black combat boots on as she left.
Frenrir followed her example and changed into a red hoodie and jeans, his own boots being tied when she opened his door.
"Hap says lunch is ready." Lucy informed him, turning and running up the stairs to the kitchen; which is where the basement opened to.
Frenrir followed, taking his usual seat at the middle of the table between Lucy and Gilbert. On Gilbert's other side Sky sat next to Hap, who sat next to Lucy.
