"Are you okay boo?" Amber looked at me with so much concern.

"Yeah I'm fine better now than later right?"

"Don't look at it that way baby, you know what it was before you had some proof."

I didn't say nothing else. We pulled up at Ralphs to pick up some things for the road. Amber parked the car somewhat close to the front and we made our way inside. I grabbed a cart and followed Amber to the salad bar. She wasn't gonna get a salad just a tray of fruits.

"Ambi don't forget to add my strawberries," I reminded her ass I walked to get me a lunchable for later. I hope they have a lil cooler in here for our drinks. So into my thoughts I bumped into this guy causing some of his items to fall.

"Oh my! I am so sorry I wasn't paying attention." I bent down helping him pick his belongings not one time making eye contact.

"ya good ma, I understand," he said with the most thickest accent that caught my attention.

I looked up and all I could do was stare. I bite my bottom lip as I looked him up and down. To say he was fine was a understatement. His sexy caramel complexion those brown eyes with them pink pulped lips. gosh'olmighty lets not forget his tattoos.

"ya gon' burn a hole in a nigga," he chuckled.

All I could do was smile. I was embarrassed for crying out loud. Here I am staring at this man that I don't even know thinking of all the nastiest things possible I would do to his ass.

"I'm sooorry," I finally spoke with a chuckle.

"What ya name beautiful,"

"Khloe, Khloe Carter.. and yours?"

"August Alsina,"

"Nice to meet you August," I was about to walk off when he called my name.

"Ya just gonna' up and leave ya basket wit ya purse right thea." This man had my mind going I couldn't even concentrate on what it is that I was suppose to be doing. I turned around walking back where he was standing to get my purse.

"Khloe where the hell have you been I was looking for you," Amber said walking up with almost every snack possible in her hand.

"Mm, I see why I couldn't find you shoot I would've got lost into him too."

We all laughed in a unison. "Wazzam I'm August," he said holding his hand out for Amber to shake.

"I'm Amber, Koko's bestfriend."

"Nice to meet you "bestfriend,"

"Uh uh, you can't call me that only my bestfriend," she held the biggest smile on her face wrapping her arms around my arm.

"Whea yall headed wit all dese snacks ya havin a party and wasn't gon' invite yung?"

"You know you would've got the first invite," Amber said.

I punched her arm lightly telling her to chill. "We actually on our way to Atlanta when we leave here, just had to get snacks for the road." I explained.

"Don't let me hol ya up, have a safe trip and it was a pleasure meetin ya."

I waved walking off to see about that cooler when I heard Amber call his name telling him to wait. I continued to walk because she is something else I tell you. Amber came around the corner skippin with a big smile on her face.

"What you smiling so hard about?"

"Oooh nothing! Did you find the cooler?"

I brushed her excitedness off and held the cooler up in the air. We made our way to the self checkout paying for our items and leaving out so we could finally hit the road. I put the bags in the back than got in the car. Amber came to my side of the car and open the door.

"Whatcha doing?"

"You driving!" I sat there starin at her before I got up. There was no need for me to complain we would have to take turns anyways.

"Go to 7 eleven for the ice,"

I pulled up at the 7 and Amber went to go pay for the ice. I grab my phone so I could take a couple selfies for insta. Amber ran to the window posing in the background for one.

"Ko come put the drinks in the cooler and i'll pour the ice on top."

"Got ya boo,"

"I was running through the 6 with my woes," I sang.

"You know how that shit go," Amber said swading in her seat.

We was in the car jammin to Know yourself Drake.

We had finally made it to Atlanta after that long ass drive. I was excited and I ain't even know why. We planned on going out tonight to actually have some fun.

"Amber turn the music down, I'm on the phone with a representative to find out where his card was used at."

"Hello Ms. Carter?"

"Yes. I'm still here,"

"Your husband last used his card at the Mandarin Oriental, Atlanta."

"Okay thank you for your help."

I should have knew that he always has to go somewhere with style. He was at the best hotel in Atlanta and I planned on staying in the same damn one.

"Go to Mandarin Oriental, thats where we staying at tonight."

"Is that where he is also?"

"Yup..."

Before Amber could say anything my phone starting ringing. It was an income calling from a number I ain't know.

"Hellllloo,"

"Wazzzam ma?"

I looked at Amber with a death glare even though I had the biggest smile on in the inside. She think she slick thats why she came around the corner so happy and shit.

"Hey August, wassup?"

"Amba thought itd be best if I had ya numba I couldnit agree more,"

"Yall are something else, I'll make sure to save it."

"Aigh I won't hol ya up naw, but I do have a quick question befa ya go?"

"Wassup?"

"Ya single?"

"Uhhh! how about you ask me that when I get back to LA. but are you?"

"Ya can do the same lil mama,"

We talked a lil more before ending our conversation. Once Amber found a park we went inside for reservation.

"Ko omg duck girl there go Jermaine,"

I hide behind the bush by the front desk. Amb had put her hair up earlier in the car and she had on shades so he wouldn't have noticed her. When the coast was clear we got on the elevator going to our room to get ready for tonight.

I know this chapter may have been a lil boring but bare with me. Its gonna get better guys I promise. If there was any errors I apologize I kind of was rushing this chapter to get it out the way to prepare for everything else thats coming the next chapter. 👀😅
