Jack went downstairs in the cabin to cook dinner for gold. As he was cooking he heard something from upstairs so he went to check on her. When he walked in, she was just waking up.
Jack: gold!
He rushed to sit next to her & pulled her into a hug.
Gold: what happened?
Jack: you don't remember?
Gold: no.
'I could tell her the truth, but, if she doesn't remember anything, why let her? I'll tell her a lie to spare her that pain'
Jack: you got in an accident. Some guy in his car ran you over, you've been out for a while.
Gold: why wasn't I taken to the hospital?
Jack: because then they would've found out I killed the guy who hit you
Gold: oh.
Jack: I made you dinner if your hungry.
Gold: sure, that sounds good
