Tao sends message to the wrong number. Elle replies and says this is wrong number.

~Tao's POV~

After deciding on a movie by myself since my one friend was petsitting and the other one had a date with his 'rugby lad' as he called him boyfriend.

I picked up my phone as trailers played I typed in the number of the girls number I got earlier at the rental movie place.

Hey this is Tao. I was wondering if you wanted to go get milkshakes tomorrow?

Waiting for reply was probably the worst part. I went to close the app but saw the three bubbles. Ooh she's typing. Then it went away. Three more tries of appearing just to disappear. Okay no this is the worst part.

Who?

My eyebrows raised at the question from the girl.

Tao? From Rent A Film ? You said you liked my beanie.
I'm sorry but Tao I didn't go to Rent A Film? I don't even know where that is. Sorry I think someone gave you my number..

No no and no! She was so cute too with her pixie cut blonde hair and green eyes. I took my beanie off throwing it at the tv.

Wait she knows that. As I realized I took my pillow and put it over my face. My phone dinged another message as I moved pillow to see what it said.

Hi Tao.

And from that day on we talked even with good morning messages, in between random things we did and goodnight texts. Yet we never sent selfies of each other.

On Valentine's Day at school watching couples made me sick. Not like throw up sick but sick as in I wanted that. My friend Tobie was reading his book at lunch. Charlie my other friend and his boyfriend Nick were talking about a trip they had planned for their anniversary. They been together two years.
"How do you find love anyway?"
I asked as I put my hand up to rest my head on it asking no one.
"Class? We met in a class room. But official started to hang out when I joined rugby."
Charlie said and I nodded seeing the heart eyes on both of them.
"What about you Tobie?"
Tobie held up one hand as if wait I'm reading. After he was finished he set his book down looking at me.
"I don't need that kind of romantic love you guys crave. I have my books and that's all I need."
"But don't you get lonely?"
I asked and he shook his head no.
"Nope I have a whole world just from sitting here and turning my pages."

As he talked my phone buzzed and I snuck it out being phones weren't allowed at our all boys school.

"Ooh he's smiling. What you reading?"
Nick asked in sing song voice and replied as I flipped him off quickly. He gasped as I relied to Elle.

Eh it sucks honestly. But hey do you want to go get milkshakes?
Haha I think we had this convo already? -smirk emoji-
Haha ik but there is nothing to do in this town.

That's the kicker of this we live in the same town too but never seen each other other then thru our texts.

I put my phone back in my jacket pocket and looked up seeing all three of my friends stare at me confused. Sighing I explained what or like who I been texting for a month.

At the diner I sat in a booth with window view of the street. Cars zooming by in the rain as I ran my hands thru my hair. I wanted a beanie but my fiends held them all hostage. After changing five times I was set to go. Each time I heard the bell I looked wondering if she was the one walking in.

One group was four older women, next was a teenager with another teenager, a married couple by the way they were hugging close, one old man and I finally stopped looking getting my hopes down.

"Is this seat available?"
I looked up at the voice and saw the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Her long curly brown hair, with brown eyes with round glasses, brown skin, green stripe shirt with pink overalls and black boots.
"Elle?"
I said being she said she would be wearing overalls. She nodded as I smiled as she sat by me instead of across from me.
"Yes hi Tao. Sorry if I'm late I had to wait for my parents to be done getting ready for their date. So  I could ride with them. My car wouldn't start."
"Hey don't be sorry it's cool. Welcome."
She chuckled and pushed up her glasses. I then noticed she had an umbrella as she set it down on the other side of the table.
"Thanks. So what's good here?"
"Well I'm happy you asked."

We stayed past closing and instead of our phones for texting we had our voices. Hearing her laugh instead of reading it was such a beautiful sound. I wanted to jar her laugh to keep for sad days.

After paying and tipping for being passed closing we walked together under umbrella. I forgot mine at home as we walked out we found the park near by. No one else around but us and the rain.
"This is so beautiful."
She said stopping watching the trees sway in the light wind with rain falling.
"Yeah beautiful."
I looked at her not the nature that was in front of us. I jumped feeling rain hit my face as I looked confused before seeing Elle closing the umbrella. She set it on the bench by us before dancing and jumping into the rain puddles.
"What if you get sick?"
"Worth it! Now come on Tao it's fun!"
I ran my hair thru my hair so it was out of my face before joining her.

We laughed as we danced in the rain as I smiled stopping in my tracks to watch her. Guess she noticed my staring as she turned to me. Her lips parted but nothing came out. With step closer I pulled her by the hips as she gasped.
"Can I kiss you?"
I asked moving one hand to move her now wet brown curly hair from her face.
".. Yes.."
I smiled before leaning down and kissed her. I smiled more when I felt she kissed back. The rain fell on our lips and I totally didn't care if I got sick from the rain now. This was worth it. Elle was worth it.

Pulling away for air I felt my cheeks must of matched her as they blushed. I chuckled feeling the rain must of disappeared after kissed. I pointed and smiled.
"Look a rainbow."
She turned around to see it and smiled before turning back to me.
"They say it's luck when you see a rainbow."
"Oh I feel lucky with you."
Elle blushed more before hiding her face into my chest and I wrapped my arms around her.

Three days later I called out school for being sick. On my computer on face time was Elle as she also was sick. We were watching a movie but instead of the movie I talked with her. She talked with me as the movie was background noise.
"Hey Elle."
"Hmm?"
"You know I'm happy I got the wrong number and it was yours."
She smiled before nodding.
"Yeah? Well I'm happy too. You're a pretty cool guy."
I coughed okay the cough wasn't fun but if it meant kissing Elle in the rain I would do it again.
"And you are a pretty girl."
She rolled her eyes laughing.
"I mean it."
"Okay Romeo."

With one wrong number led to the right person I would do it all over again.
