Wayhaught goes to Van Gough Experience. Also with Dom using they/them I feel like Waverly would too. 🌻

~Waverly's POV~

Covid was over and that meant we could open Shorty's again! The mask were optional in our town of Purgatory. I was out of work for the two years it happened. Yet my wife Nicole still had to go out and work. She was a police officer after all and more important then the small bar I worked at.

I was finishing up cleaning the bar when I heard the bell singling someone walked in.
"Sorry we are closed —"
I almost dropped the try with empty beer bottles on it and saw her.

My wife. Nicole Haught. And yes she was haught.

"Hey babe. Careful you might make a mess like the day we met."
I blushed chucking at remembering too. The day we met she came in here asking if I seen this guy named Doc and as if on cue of her haught self I accidentally poured the beer tap on myself not the beer cup I missed.

"Oh sush it. I'm out of practice since being off work for so long."
I put the two glasses in the sink and then felt her arms around my waist and pulled me into her.
"Oh yeah? How was your first day back?"
"Good little rusty but I'll get the hang of it again."
"I know you will."
She kissed my neck as I hummed before realizing we were still in Shorty's.
"We aren't doing this here.."
"Again."
"Again."
We said the time laughing as I cleaned the dishes with her arms around my waist. I missed this when she left in the morning and would be gone all day.
"So babe I got a surprise for you."
She said pulling away and leaned onto the bar she was still dressed in her work cop outfit and cowboy hat on the bar.
"Yes?"
I asked as I dried my hands with the towel and put it back.
"You know how you been wanting to get out of the house and do anything?"
"Yes?"
"We'll I got you an happy we made it thru a pandemic gift."
I laughed walking over to her confused.
"But I didn't get you anything."
"It's fine really here."
I opened the envelope up and slid the paper out as I read it.

Let's Gough!! You're invited to Van Gough Experience! 💛🌻 🌌💙

I gasped reading it two more times to make sure I read it right. Since Covid was over and they had ways of getting people back together, lots of places were doing experience events. I saw this one and fell in love.

"Babe thank you!!"
I walked over to her and kissing her on the lips as she pulled me by the waist and kissing me back.

Three days later at the event we showed the check in person at the booth our card. They put a stamp on us saying we can go to any room. Also rule don't touch anything and if taking pictures have the flash off.

Holding hands as we walked inside the first room as I gasped. My free hand wanted to reach out and touch it. The room was called Irises after his painting with same name. It looked like we were inside the painting. I held my hand out as the purple Irises were on my hand.
"This is so cool."

~Nicole's POV~

Watching Waverly have fun was so cute as they fought the urge to touch the wall. They were giggling like a little kid as we went to the next room after Irises. The next room was called Café Terrace at Night. The room also made it feel like you were in the painting. This time it had actors like they were sitting at the café like the painting. They were silence actors with no words but they moved very slowly as if they weren't really their. Waverly and I took selfie with the café building before walking out to the next room.

More rooms later we found the most crowd at the end of the hall. It was the room with real and fresh sunflowers. As Waverly walked ahead I took pictures of them. With smile at the pictures I got I walked up to them.
"These are so pretty."
"I've seen more beautiful."
"What? Where?"
They looked up from the row of sunflowers and looked at me.
"You."
They blushed and hit my shoulder playfully and I laughed. A photographer walked up smiling.
"Hi I work at museum and I was wondering would you like a photo of you two?"
I looked at Waverly for and answer and they nodded.
"Okay and pose?"
Purgatory wasn't the best place to be out lesbian with a non binary bisexual. Yet I saw the camera person had rainbow pin and another pin that read he/them. With that I knew we were safe with them.
"Uh can we do a dip and kiss photo?"
I asked Waverly hit me again worried that I outed us. They were happy being out but still worried for our safety since this wasn't like New York. Then they must of saw their pins and they relaxed.
"Sure. Sounds perfect."
Smiling as I did little dance with Waverly around the sunflowers before dipping them as they giggled I felt myself giggle back. Leaning down I kissed them as they wrapped their arms around my neck for balance and kisses me back. As I pulled them up we were smiling as I read the name tag.
"All done and here you take this card at gift shop and they will print you the picture."
"Thanks Jeremy."
"You're welcome."
They waved as we held hands walking rest of around the circle of sunflower room.

We bought our three selfies that Jeremy took. The one where I dipped them, the other of us laughing as we danced and the last one was the kiss. Plus Waverly bought their sister Wynnona a beer opener that had the art by Gough himself and it was called Skull of a Skeleton with Burning Cigarette according to the gift shop worker.

Walking out of the Van Gough Experience was fun as we got in the car I turned to Waverly before starting the car.
"That was so fun thanks for taking me."
"Hey of course. And they say marriage you stop going on dates. Trust me I'll go on many more dates with you even when we become ghost."
"Ooh now that'll be a fun date. Spooking people and they thinking it's karma."
I laughed nodding in agreement as I started to drive back home. Waverly leaned over kissing my cheek as I smiled. How'd I get so lucky to have them as my wife?

THE END!!

(Made the edit picture myself and never been so this was just experience from pictures of others ... and what I think would happen.)
