Hopper is working hard on clearing Eddie's name. He's called in the victims' parents to find out the relationship between them and Eddie. And whether or not they were seen together just before they passed. Thankfully they both still live in Hawkins so he's talking to them this afternoon.

Wayne finally dropped off Eddie's yearbook and Eddie was quick to say that Wayne could leave. For his own selfish reasons, he wanted an opportunity to sit close to you. Anything that might give him the chance to get through to you. Lower your guard. When Eddie comes into the living room he shoots you a wicked smile gesturing to the yearbook. And he swore he could've died at that moment. The smile you shot back at him. How it made you glow, how the smile on your face was directed at him. You left your phone on the coffee table as you approach him and take the yearbook from him. You gesture to the kitchen table and you both sit down next to each other. Eddie feels there's too much of a gap and he forces the chair to move sideways in your direction. You do the same and you're both sitting fairly close to one another. Your arms were pretty much touching and you both felt tension. Good tension. The kind of tension that makes your heart melt. You start to flick through the yearbook and you suddenly stop at Eddie's photo.

This photo was simply the most adorable thing you've ever seen. His soft smile. He looks so incredibly proud of himself. You know from past conversations with Eddie that he found schooling difficult so seeing this makes your heart smile. You tenderly stroke the photo and look at Eddie beside you

"Aww look at you!" You point to the photo with the biggest smile on your face. You grab his arm with your other hand and shake him slightly. You hear him let out a light laugh and you could've sworn he leaned in closer to you as you shook his arm.

"I barely passed okay I was allowed to smile like that" It came out soft and quiet. He lets out a little laugh and he lets himself lean into you a little bit. You smell nice. He likes the way you smell. The way you make him feel when he's this close to you. He wonders what it would be like if you reciprocated his unspoken feelings. What would it feel like to have his arms wrapped around you while you wrapped your arms around him. Snuggling into him. Feeling safe. He wants you to feel safe around him

"I like the photo it's so you" You turn back to the photo and just admire how he hasn't really changed. His hair is slightly longer, he's got big brown eyes, and his face looks more mature.

You keep flicking through the yearbook and you stop at a cheerleader's picture. You remember her from the news report

"Hey, this is the girl right?" you nudge him slightly to get his attention. It seemed his eyes tended to wander to you instead of the yearbook. You feel the blood rush to your cheeks thinking for even a minute he was admiring you. But that couldn't be right. You're no one special. Especially to him. He's just here for a place to hide.

"Yeah, that's her..... Chrissy Cunningham... Oh, I remember her now..... I sold her drugs one time" He vaguely remembers this girl. He remembers he crushed on her when she showed him one shred of kindness. However, that quickly went away. The next day she completely ignored him and iced him out. He went back to being a freak. She went back to her perfect boyfriend Jason. Fancy that. Maybe they can see each other in the afterlife

"You? Eddie Munson? sell drugs?" You look shocked. You had heard that he sold drugs during school and all that. But you hadn't thought about it. It doesn't change how you feel though. You feel kind of proud he dared to admit he used to sell. Or does he still?

"Not anymore I don't do that kinda stuff anymore" He quickly interjects and feels like he has to be very clear he doesn't sell anymore. His eyes roam over you trying to read your body language. He doesn't see a change. Maybe you're okay with it
