Joyce, Will, Jonathon, and Hopper are sitting around the dinner table eating a delicious dinner that Joyce had made. You had been invited but didn't want to leave Eddie alone so you stayed home. Hopper hadn't said anything to you but you knew Eddie's name was close to being cleared. And you knew it was selfish but a part of you didn't want his name to clear. You knew once it was he would be summoned back to the life of a rockstar. A life you weren't sure you fit into. You weren't even sure if Eddie wanted anything to do with you after everything. You had grown quite fond of the curly-haired rockstar but you still refused to say anything because you didn't want to get hurt
"I'm making the announcement tomorrow" Hopper casually said as he ate a spoonful of the food
"Awww his uncle would be so happy to hear that Hop!" Joyce exclaimed. She'd seen Wayne out and about and always wished him well
"Then he can come out of hiding," Will said softly. He couldn't imagine being on the run as long as Eddie had been
"It's good that it's tomorrow. It's Christmas Eve after all" Jonathon chimed in. Spending Christmas on the run doesn't sound fun at all
"At least the young man gets to celebrate Christmas. Poor guy has been on the run and hiding for months" Hopper hopes to bring Eddie home to his uncle will be a nice Christmas present for the both of them
"Do you think he's had help?" Will asks. Surely he hasn't been by himself this whole time
"Oh I'm sure someone's been helping him" Jonathon gives him a reassuring smile
"At least if someone was helping him he hasn't been alone all this time" He has a feeling he knows who's been helping but he wouldn't dare say a word
"On a different topic. Have you two decided on a date yet?" It's been ages since they got engaged and Will was hoping for some good news
"Will!" A shocked Joyce shrieks
"No it's fine Joyce" Hopper gives his fiance a warm smile
"No, we haven't decided on a date yet. We'll talk about it more after I can clear this guy's name" He nods in Will's direction
"You should let Y/N know you're making the announcement. After all, they bumped into Eddie? That's how you got all that stuff right?" He's too nosey for his own good
"I'll shoot them a text after dinner. Now eat your food" Hopper gestures to Will's plate of dinner that has hardly been touched. Hopper and Joyce look at each other with how much love in their eyes
You and Eddie are having a quiet dinner that Eddie has made for you two. He's been cooking a lot. He doesn't know how else to thank you. You hear a sharp knock on the door so you go to answer it. Eddie stays in the kitchen so he's not seen
"Oh! Uhm Peter what are you doing here?" You weren't expecting company and least of all his
"Heyyy" He drags it out
"What are you doing here?" You sound annoyed. Him coming to your home unannounced
Eddie hears the two of you talking so he goes near the window so he can see the two of you but you can't see him
"I wanted to see the person who captured my heart" He places his hands over his heart
"Peter we spoke about this. Enough" You've had enough
"Y/N let me talk please" He begs you
"Fine" you cross your arms and lean on the doorframe not amused by what he's doing
"Y/N, I love you, I'm in love with you. Whenever I look at you I can just see a future with you. I see us waking up together, and spending the rest of our lives together. Maybe even have a few kids on the way" His confession lays on you thick. Whatever it was you weren't expecting this
