Chapter Twenty~One

Gabriella's POV:

I am currently in Matteo's bedroom stuffing my face with ice cream and enjoying the pleasant scent from my mates bed sheets.

While also watching the Disney movie 'Tangle. '

I heard the door click open and Matteo walked in looking bumped out.

I quickly sat up from my leg swinging back and forth position and my belly on the bed to an up right position facing him.

"Are you good? " I asked simply but also looking concerned.

"Am fine. " he said bluntly and entered his bathroom.

I'll take this as my cue to leave.

'But I was starting to get used to this! ' whining Ashley said.

Ashley he's mad about something and I don't want to get heart broken than I am, we'll just go and hang out with Trisha and their annoying cousin King.

'Fine! ' she said pouting.

I laughed in my mind at how childish she is and started making my way out the room.

But then the bathroom door open and I couldn't help but wanna peek of my mates abs.

I turned slightly to see a Greek god standing right there with the abs of a GYM instructor.

Matteo's decked out!!

I heard a soft chuckle that broke me out of my trance and I stared to see that heart warming smile of his.

The one that follows a dimple and the white like pearly teeth.

I almost smiled at his smile... Almost.

"Sorry for staring, I'll be going now. " I said shyly and turned the door knob to leave but big arms covered mine and stopped me.

I looked up the hands to see Matteo and he shook his head signalling... No?

"Please don't leave. " he said softly.

I looked into his eyes and I knew he wanted to say something so I took my hands off the knob.

"Why? " I asked gently.

He pulled me gently with him and sat me down the edge of the bed next to him.

With him half naked I'm sure I won't get to concentrate on what he wants to say.

"I want to say something but am not sure how to. " he started.

I hold his hand gently and said "I'm listening don't worry. "

Holding him sent butterflies into my stomach and electricity through my body.

Gosh am falling hard I can't even  run away and reject him.

'I told you from the start you won't be able to. ' Ashley said laughing.

I just rolled my eyes inside of me.

"I want to say sorry. " he blurted out.

But I can see emotions on his voice and in his eyes.

'He's apologizing!! ' Ashley screeched.

I know that Ashley, I see that.

"For what? " I ask.

Like it's not his fault if he doesn't wants me, my mom didn't want me and so did my sister maybe that's why they left me... For good.

And so did my dad, just sees me as trash.

"For treating you badly from the start and rejecting you mentally. " he said.

He hugged me and I can feel tears pricking out of my eyes.

But I don't feel like crying... Is he crying?!

"You don't have to say sorry, I was at fault too. " I said. "I'm just nothing, it's not your fault you don't like me. " I added.

"You're not nothing, you're something very special but I was too consumed by my past and I didn't see it. " he said still hugging me and crying. "I'm sorry. " he added more like a whisper.

I pat his back softly running it up and down.

"It's okay, it's not your fault. " I said cooing him.

I don't like the feeling of him crying.

It also hurts me to see him hurt.

"I'm so so sorry. " he said again.

And then the next word slipping from his mouth made me freeze.

"Can we cuddle.... Please. " he said whispering the last part.

I was shocked.

"I'm sorry, we're going too fast Matteo... I don't think-" I was interrupted.

"It's okay, you don't have to forgive me now. I know I've hurt you and made you cry without caring. " he said and pulled away slowly.

I wiped the tears from his face and said "Maybe next time.... When I've learn to trust you and love you a little. "

He nodded and just went on wiping his hair with the towel.

I opened the door and before I could close it I heard another voice from him.

"I'm sorry. "
