My username is rehistory_m, you can call me by any nickname you have in mind. I'll start with R. Or maybe M? Names are hard...

For now, I think Castor would do well.

Lately I've been drawn to return to the Mythical Community of Wattpad, in which I discovered in 2016, and participated from 2017 to early 2019.

When I returned, it turned out differently from when I left it. It was significantly hard to find recent content, and while I saw many individual mythical journals, there wasn't much interaction within them.

It was as if there was no longer a community in "Mythical Community".

And so, I started to delve in what felt like ancient ruins. The Zennith drama, Rebellions, Mythical Societies, Hunter Organisations...

Though in the middle of searching, I have improved in my ability to do so. I used tags, looked at the reading lists of the ones I managed to find and went through there, and finally, searching for reading lists of Mythical content specifically.

It was there that I realised that the Mythical population on wattpad was not as endangered as I thought it was, but rather, the Community became fragmented.

While the most popular hypotheses point towards hunters having captured them, or that they have shifted to an alternate reality, I personally think it may have been the change in Wattpad's algorithm.

In my experience, it seemed to have reduced the effect in which your history can affect your homepage. I have two accounts, which I use for different purposes. They have almost the same homepage. This account has more than 50 mythical journals in my library in total.

So, it seemed like my username will serve a different purpose.

I am going to attempt to spread awareness of recently active mythical authors, and I am doing this by adding one of each author's book into a reading list, which would notify them, and, by checking out the reading list, will become aware of other authors like them- Mythicals. They can also easily find recently updated journals, which I will update to be at the top of the list.

There is no guarantee that it will serve the intended purpose. For all we know, the author can just ignore the notification. And, some authors may not log back in.

However, this is an attempt with willpower. I know that will can change the world, and I would like to take a chance.
