Elizabeth,

Too much time has passed since we last spoke. My mother wishes not for us to be together, but she is wrong. I don't know how you feel, but still I wish to marry you. Neither do I know if you shall forgive me. Mother doesn't want me to pursue you, but I do not care. She only wishes to tear us apart. Her jealous soul never had the love we did for each other.
