"This ocean breeze is just perfect." I sighed, content. I wiggled my toes in the sand and went to lie on my towel to bask in the sun.
"Yeah, it's been a while since we've came to the beach." My best friend, Grace, said as she searched for sea shells.
"Damn girl, let me get a piece of that cake!" I called out to her jokingly as she bent over to grab a shell. She flipped me off as we earned strange stares from people around us. I busted out laughing at her embarrassment. She's just too easy.
"So bitch face, what do you want to do after the beach?" She asked me while she plopped down beside me.
"Hmm, I was thinking about the club tonight. Are you up for it?"
"Hell yes! I need a drink or two with the way my week had been at work."
"I wholeheartedly agree with you. My week was shit too."
"I would love to have your job over mine. Being a journalist is harder than it looks."
"Well, photography isn't exactly the most easy thing in the world either." I stated.
We both sighed.
"Danielle?"
"Hm?"
"Don't you just wish you could find the perfect guy? That wakes up before you just to make you breakfast-"
I snorted.
"I'm serious!" She laughed, "Some guys still do that. I just wish I could find one that loves me for me and not just for my fabulous body, ya know?"
"You're so conceited." I laughed.
"It's true. I mean, just look at this figure." She motioned her hands up and down her body while wiggling her eyebrows.
"11 out of 10 would bang." I snorted. She busted out laughing.
"The people beside us are looking at us weird."
"They just don't understand our friendship." I told her.

I have no idea what to wear to the club and it's frustrating me greatly. I rummaged through my messy closet for the right dress and heels. Jesus, I'm so unorganized.
"Aye, sugarplum! Where you at homie?" Grace yelled from downstairs of my apartment. Sometimes I wonder to myself why I gave her a spare key because she scares the shit out of me barging in like that.
"Up in my room!" I yelled back.
A few seconds later she poked her head into my closet. "Ready yet?"
"Does it look like I'm ready?" I asked, motioning towards my pajama shorts and tank top.
"You look absolutely stunning darling." She said in a crappy sophisticated tone as she wrapped an arm around my neck.
I pushed her arm off and shook my head. "Why am I friends with you?"
"Because you love me and all that stuff." She said, smiling cheesily. I rolled my eyes in response.
"Can you help me look for something to wear?" I asked, about to give up on the whole 'go out and party to get drunk off my ass because I have nothing better to do with my life' idea.
"What kind of friend would I be if I didn't?"
She started helping me throw clothes around to find the right outfit.
