Third Person POV
Draco and Harry seperate and go find their friends. Draco finds Pansy and Blaise just barely sitting down, and joins them. Harry sees Hermione and Ron already sat down eating, and sits next to them.
Both pairs smile as the third member of the trio joins them.
Ron has suddenly changed his attitude about Draco, and is acting strange, Harry observes. 'Hermione must have done something.' He thinks.
Draco's friends are as normal.
Acting like total crackheads.
Once they have finished, both trios head to Defence Against the Dark Arts together.
Nobody really wanted to.
Umbitch sucks. (Yes, unfortunately I made it so she's still here, for now.)
Harry's looking particularly nervous, as always.
He still hasn't recovered mentally or physically since Umbitch.. You know.
He looks down at his hand, with those words still carved into it. Draco notices this and grabs that hand.
Harry looks up at the tall blond.
Draco looks down at the shorter raven haired boy.
They grin at each other, and interlock their fingers. They let go just before they walk in, but go sit next to each other.
Umbridge walks in, looking at the two suspiciously. It's odd, seeing them sitting next to each other so willingly.
She tries paying no mind to it, and continues with the lesson.
Under the table, Draco is holding Harry's hand, in an attempt to calm him down as he's shaking violently, nervous out of his mind.
Draco glances at his boyfriend sympathetically, hoping the small boy is okay. He starts caressing the back of Harry's hand with his thumb.
Harry's glad he has Draco with him, and now he's starting to calm down.
Once the lesson is finally over, Harry quickly gets out of the classroom, trying his hardest not to run.
Draco is right behind him.
Before going to their next class, Draco pulls Harry towards him, and embraces the poor boy. Harry feels soft tears running down his cheeks.
Draco pulls away and leans over slightly. He kissed the raven boy's cheek, and told him this, in a gentle tone;
"I know you have trauma with her, but I am right here. Can you try your hardest to ignore the past, while I make sure she doesn't do anything else?"
Harry nods and they continue on their way.
They have different classes next, but they are in the same direction. Harry stops at Transfiguration and Draco walks farther down the hall.
Harry steps in and sits in his usual spot, next to Ron.
McGonagall walks in and greets them.
They mainly review spells they should already know, such as Reparo.
Meanwhile, Draco's in History of Magic. One of his many, least favorite classes.
He doesn't do much there.
Finally, class ends. It's time to go to
Potions with Harry.Draco walks out of the class, and starts seeking for his very beloved boyfriend.
Once he finds him, he grabs Harry's hand and drags him down to the Dungeons.
Harry's reminded Snape, which reminds him of The Battle. He kind of misses the old Potions Master.
Draco can tell Harry is starting to tear up as they sat down. He rubs the back of Harry's hand with his thumb, hoping to comfort him.
Harry gives a weak smile as Professor Slughorn starts reviewing Amortentia.
(Obviously.)
Whoever they are sitting with is their partner.
(Again, OBVIOUSLY!)
The two boys glance at each other, already knowing what's coming.
Harry gets all the ingredients, and Draco makes the potion. Harry wants to help, but they both know that he is terrible at potions.
Once they're finished, the students have to tell their partner what they smell.
Harry smells Draco's gel, mixed with treacle tarts, and the woody scent of a broomstick.
Draco smells Harry's lovely shampoo, and cologne, as well as the scent of green apple.
After telling each other this, they're both red and smiling.
Ron overhears the conversation, and realizes what this meant.
Draco really does love Harry.
This isn't some act.
Ron also recalls all of the times Draco was there for his best friend, without even knowing he was comforting him when needed.
He also knows that Harry has been taking care of himself more, and doing a lot better since Draco started being kind to him.
Ron smiles to himself, now more willing to accept the fact that his best friend is dating his once lifelong enemy.
"What are you smiling about, Ronald?"
He realizes Hermione's still beside him, mixing the potion.
"Didn't you hear Harry's conversation with Malfoy?"
"I did. They really are made for each other. It's true love, really. Are you finally accepting the fact that they are dating?"
"Yes, I am."
Hermione grins before looking back at the potion to find that it's ready.
"Okay Ron, what do you smell?"
"Food. Chicken. Delicious."
"Of course. Your stomach is what you seem to love most. Anyway, I smell flowers, and books."
"Of course, 'Mione."
