My phone on the living room's coffee table vibrates. Immediately, I stop mid-step, and go over to it. Just like I was hoping, it's from Xenen.

'Hey babe how was your dance thing'

I smile, because he actually asked. Maybe he does care, just more than he lets on.

'Great. But i missed you :/ '

What I replied with is true. But I don't want to sound to clingy.

What if that's completely the wrong thing to say?

But my worries go away soon.

'I told you that you shouldve stayed with me ;) '

Phew, it's all okay. He just joked in respnse.

' Youre right ;) '

Honestly, I don't think so. I think that it was the correct choice to go to dance instead of skip and say with Xenen. But I know that Xenen will be happy if I flatter him. So I do just that.

' ;) okay then, now that we have that settled, you wanna come over tonight? My parents are gone ;) '

It sounds really tempting, but I don't know if he implies just hanging out or something more. And I am certainly not ready for that something more. And my parents most likely agree with that either. Besides, I still should practice for my dance so that I don't fall behind. That can't happen wiht my auditions coming up.

'Sorry babe i cant tonight.'

I hope that he isn't too disappointed.

'Ok :/ next time then'

'you betcha ;)'

';)'

'Hey, can i text you later babe?'

'Sure :)'

'Kk byee :)'

'Bye, luv ya'

Reading the last text, my breath falls short. He just said the 'L' word. Even if it spelled incorrectly and over text, he still said it. I decide to not respond back. Things will be less complicated this way.

I put my phone on silent, and then set it face down so that it can't distract me again. Distractions aren't good. Auditions are coming up real soon. And I can't afford to be irresponsible anymore.

I go back to my dancing, and practice for another half hour. Which makes it only forty-five minutes in total.

That's not enough! You have school classes longer than that, and you still go through with them even though you don't care about them. Shouldn't you be able to do a longer session of something that you actually like?

Scolding myself sets me straight, I practice for another half hour. But from there I can't procede wiht any more. I am completely worn out.

Deciding that I wouldn't be able to focus anyways, I skip the homework and choose instead to take a shower with nice, refreshing, cool water. I don't actually wash myself though, I only stand under the water and cool down.

When I am finished, I get out and wrap a towel around myself. I tuck a part of it in on the side so that it will stay on without me having to hold it in place. Then I grab my brush and run it through my hair until it is all brushed out. Once I have accomplished this, I move myself o my dresser and pick out pajama shorts and a muscle shirt. Going back to my bathroom, I change into them. Now feeling cool and refreshed, I let out a deep breath.

"Della! Dinner's ready!" My mum calls up from down the stairs.

Not responding, I only run over to the stairs, and then down them when I am there. After that is accomplished, I make my way over to the kitchen table.
