The Arranged Marriage

I was just sitting on my chair in my office, I don't have documents to read or sign and it's not even Friday. The product launch was successful and glad that we fixed it before the launching date, the clients were happy and so the company. As to make up for my anger last time, I treated all the employees for a dinner.

I just stand up and just stare outside the window, but then my door opens.

"Miss Vaux, here's the invitation for the upcoming event this Friday." my secretary spoke, oh I forgot. The Prisme Fashion and Jewelry, and Rousseau Fashion will have a collaboration party for all the employees. Some models are even invited with it, and some artists that were the faces of both fashion company.

I turn around and look at my secretary,

"Just put it on my table, I'll take a look later" I spoke, she smiled and place the invitation on my table and left. I sighed and decided to look at the invitation.

It was a formal event, and of course I'll wear a suit. It will be held at a hotel which was owns by my dad's friend of course, he has a lot of connections. I guess there's so many people at the said event, and I wonder how will I escape them.

I sit on my chair and take sighs, then my Dad entered my office.

"Why do you look tired? Did you not get enough sleep?" he asked and looks worried,

"No, just thinking how will I gonna escape people at the event this Friday" I spoke, then he chuckles.

"Well, you can bring Arielle since it was her Dad's company. And your brothers will be there too, and of course her brother." he spoke, I sighed. Then he sits on the edge of my table,

"I just want to ask you about something. I mean, when will you tell her?" he spoke looking at me,

"Probably like, three weeks before" I spoke, then he nodded his head.

"I see, that's like a week from now, anyway. That's all I want to ask. And don't worry, we're working on it and we'll make sure it would be the best. And we're almost done" he spoke while smiling before leaving my office.

Yup, three weeks before. And I hope it will go smoothly.

Fast forward, Friday. I was dressing up and I'll pick up Arielle at their house. It's a good thing that she agreed to come with me in this event, cause if not I'll probably just greet my dad and brothers then go on my way. Anyway, Daniele's also at the event since her girlfriend was invited and he was the plus one.

I get my car keys and drive to pick up Arielle. I wait on my car and she walk out of their house wearing that elegant evening dress that just really shows her curves. I consciously open my mouth,

"Good evening, Love. Looks like you're in awe" she spoke as she clings on my arms, I giggled.

"You're gorgeous" I exclaimed, she smiled and peck my lips.

"I know, and you're handsome. Girls might look at you tonight" she spoke, I held her hand.

"But I'll only look at you" I spoke, she blushed. I open the door for her before I get inside.

"Is your brother still at home?" I asked,

"Nope. He's already at the event, but my Mom and Dad were still at home" she replied, then I start to drive. And I can't help myself but to look at her, she's gorgeous. I'm so lucky to have her.

We arrived at the place, I held her hand as we get inside. Lots of people, and I hate it. Arielle probably saw my reaction so she holds tight on my hands and smiles at me.
