A few weeks had passed since Yuya Sakaki and his fellow Lancers liberated Heartland City in the Xyz Dimension from the Fusion Dimension's Academia forces. After seeing the error of their ways, the Xyz-stationed Academia students decided to help rebuild Heartland City.

Yuya carried boxes of food to the cafeteria. "Here you go," he said as he handed the boxes to an attendant.

"Thanks," said the attendant. "You've been very helpful to us."

"It's no problem, really."

A voice suddenly called out, "Yuya Sakaki!"

Yuya turned around and saw two uniformed girls standing before him. One had long blonde hair and red eyes; the other had long silver hair and yellow eyes.

"Oh. You two are from Academia, right?" Yuya asked the girls.

"That's right," said the blonde girl.

"We've never properly introduced ourselves since our duel," said the silver girl.

"I see," said Yuya.

"I'm Gloria Tyler," said the blonde girl.

"And I'm Grace Tyler," said the silver girl.

"Nice to meet you, Gloria. Grace," said Yuya. "So you're sisters?"

"Yep," said Grace. "Twin sisters."

"Ever since your duel with Edo," said Gloria, "We've seen how blinded we were by the Professor's motives. So now, we're here to help the Resistance."

"More importantly, we're here to help you, Yuya."

Yaya was surprised. "Me?"

"Your Entertainment Dueling really inspired us. Well, it inspired me more than it did Nee-san."

"Grace!" Gloria exclaimed.

"Wow," said Yuya. "You really liked my dueling?"

"Yes. We want to bring smiles back to the faces of Heartland City through dueling."

"And we want you to teach us how," said Grace.

"Me? Teach?" Yuya questioned.

"You're the only one here who's more experienced with entertainment dueling," said Gloria.

"And you know how to bring people together," said Grace.

"So you teach us how to entertainment duel..."

"And we'll help you bring in crowds."

Yuya was intrigued by the Tylers' enthusiasm. Not too long ago, they were pawns who turned people into cards. Now, they wanted to help people smile. "Alright, I'll teach you."

"Yes!" The twins cheered.

"This is going to be exciting," said Gloria.

"We'll be like Yuya's prized pupils and personal assistants," said Grace.

The Tylers held out their hands and said in unison, "Let's work together, Yuya Sakaki!"

"Sure, Tyler Sisters!" Yuya held out his hands and shook the Tylers'.

And so, Yuya did his best to train the Tylers in entertainment dueling. The twins enjoyed learning new techniques that would improve their skills. After a couple of days, they decided to take a break. The Tylers sat down feeling tired.

"This is exhausting," said Gloria.

"Yeah, but it's also fun," said Grace.

"I must say, I'm really impressed," said Yuya. "Your skills have been improving quite well." He held out his hands and said, "Come on. I'll buy us some ice cream."

The Tylers smiled and grabbed Yuya's hands. He bought three ice cream cones, and the trio sat down on grass looking over an ocean view.

"This is nice," said Gloria.

"Ice cream is so sweet!" said Grace.

"Hey," said Yuya, "can I ask you guys a question?"

"What?" said the Tylers.

"What were you like before you joined Academia?"

The twins were surprised. No one had ever asked them that question before.

"Well," started Gloria, "our parents were always away doing overseas work, so it's always been just the two of us. We've been looking after and supporting each other since we were little. We eventually started learning about dueling."

"In the beginning," continued Grace, "we lost every duel duel we took part in, but we continued training together making each other stronger. Soon, we became unbeatable duelists. The professor was impressed by our skills; he wanted us to join Duel Academia."

"And then you became Duel Hunters like everyone else?" Yuya asked.

"Yeah," said Gloria. "Ever since we defected from Academia, we've seen that attacking this city and turning people into cards haven't united anyone except brought about fear and anger."

"It makes us wonder," said Grace, "was this the kind of duelists we wanted to become? Can we really bring about change after all the suffering we've caused?"

"Sure you can," said Yuya. "It's not always easy to change people's opinions. It takes time and effort. It took a long while for me to change the Syncho Dimension's opinions on dueling, but the fights not over yet. We still have a long way to go to stop the Professor from taking over the dimensions. We'll need plenty of allies to help us along the way. And I'm sure you two can help out by bringing back smiles to the people."

The Tylers were mesmerized by Yuya's words. To them, it sounded like he had a lot of faith in them. It made their hearts beat with anticipation. After spending their day off, the trio decided to split ways.

"So same time tomorrow?" said Yuya.

"Yep," said Gloria.

"Definitely," said Grace.

"Alright. See ya." Yuya turned around ready to make his leave when suddenly...

"Wait," said the Tylers.

Yuya turned back around. "Yes?"

The twins grabbed Yuya's hands, which surprised him. They said in unison, "Thanks for spending time with us, Yuya." They leaned their faces forward and kissed him on the cheeks.

Yuya couldn't believe it. It was the first anyone had actually kissed him.

The Tylers let go of Yuya's hands, said in unison, "See ya," and made their leave.

Yuya didn't move as he watched the twins leave. He placed a hand on cheek, feeling the warmth from the kiss. He wondered why they did it.
