I saw darkness at first. Then a throne, it looked like. Everything around me was blood red. Satin red curtains, red carpet, the whole nine yards. I was sitting next to the throne. But... Hey! I can't move!!! My hands and feet are shackled together as I sat helplessly on the smaller chair.
"Dear, don't be afraid. With your help, we can be the rulers of the Otherworld." I heard a familiar voice come from the doorway. A boy with long straight reddish brown hair walked in, a band around his head. He looked casual, yet he seemed to fit right in with this gothic castle.
"Why do you want me, Jeremy?" I demanded. I started struggling against the restraints, only to have the metal dig into my wrists and bare ankles, drawing blood.
The boy cackled. "You can't get out of those." He seemed to glide over to where I was sitting. He bent down and whispered "You'll be an amazing addition to my plan."
I started shaking my head back and forth.. No.. no this can't be happening-
I flew upright, panting heavily. I blinked and looked slowly around the room, afraid to see what I just saw. I just saw my own room, moonight pouring through the two glass doors leading to the balcony. I clutched my chest, trying to control my racing heart.
"That was so creepy..." I mumbled. I looked over at the old fashioned clock on the nightstand. 2:47. No way was I going to get back to sleep after that. So, I carefully stepped out of bed and raced across the cold marble floor to grab my black thin robe and slippers, and I ventured out onto the balcony. A beautiful waning crescent shined down onto me and the garden below, casting a luminous glow onto everything. I rested my elbows onto the railing and supported my chin with my hands, sweeping my gaze over the vast garden. A dark figure near the marble fountain caught my eye. Who is that?
Before my common sense returned to me, I was looking around the balcony for something to climb down on. I didn't want to risk waking up the others in case if it was just a gigantic mutant squirrel or something.
I noticed a bunch of tangled thick vines that grew up over the side of the wall, and twisted around the railing. I walked over and tugged on them, and they barely moved. Well, I hope to God my fear of heights doesn't get to me.
I carefully stepped over the railing and slipped my foot onto a vine. Surprisingly, it stayed. I breathed out in relief as I continued down slowly. This isn't so bad-
"BOO!"
I screamed, startled as I accidently let go of the vines. I closed my eyes and started plummeting down... a whole two feet. And I didn't even hit the ground. Figures. I opened my eyes to see a certain snickering werewolf boy.
"HYDE!" I hissed, smacking the living crap out of the boy. Hyde gently tilted me so I was on my feet before I started hitting him again.
"You. Freaking. Jerk! You scared the crap out of me! I could've died!" I said, irritated. He snorted.
"Oh please, I made sure I caught you. Don't get your panties in a wad." he retorted. I stopped hitting him long enough to realize why I came out here in the first place.
"Was that you walking around out here?" I asked, raising an eyebrow at him. He nodded.
"Yeah. I couldn't sleep, so I went patrolling. Instinct, I guess. Why were YOU trying to freaking kill yourself though?" He inquired. I flushed, looking down.
