Chapter One: Forever Alone

-Luka's POV-

       I hopped on my bicycle on a cold, Monday morning. By the way, my name is Luka Megurine. I'm on my junior year alongside with my bestfriends. And, I study in Vocaloid High, the school of musics and sometimes, fashion. On the way there, I stopped to buy a tuna pie at a convienience store. Then, I went off to school again.

       I parked my bicycle outside. Then, I went straight inside. I saw Miku with Kaito, again. I walked right up to them. "Ohayou, minna!" I said. "Ohayou, Luka-chan!" Miku greeted me with a smile. She has been my bestfriend since we were in 3rd grade. Kaito just waved at me. Yes, she and him are like dating for 1 year now. I'm kinda jealous because, I'm the only one who doesn't have a boyfriend. Everytime I confess, they turn me down. Oh, the feels. "So, are you waiting for someone? We have to check our classes." I said. "Nah. We're just waiting for you, Luka-chan." Miku said, grabbing my hand. "Okay! Let's go!" I replied. Then, we went to the bulletin board to see what's our classes.

          "LOOK! GUYS! WE'RE IN THE SAME CLASS!" Miku squealed in excitement. "That's great." Kaito said, patting Miku's head. I looked at the bulletin board and, I saw new students. But, this name caught my eye. "Guys? Who's this Gakupo Kamui?" I asked, pointing at the name. "Oh! He's my cousin!" Kaito said, jumping in surprise. "He's a samurai and you better not mess with him." he continued. Then, our other friends came. "Morning, Miku! Kaito! Luka!" Len said, waving his hand at us. Alongside with him is his girlfriend, Neru Akita, our Utauloid exchange student last year. They started dating at the end of the school year. "So,do you guys know what class we are?" Neru asked. "Yeah. We're in the same class, guys!" I squealed. "That's great! I look forward on being classmates with you guys, again!" my other friend, Rin, Len's sister, jumped up and down. "Yeah! We get to do karaoke night again! Sakeeeeeee!" our drunkard, Meiko, shouted. "Meiko, you should drink sake always, you know." her boyfriend, Kiyoteru, gave her a look. "Oh, yeah. As president of the Student Council, I should do my duties always. So, sometimes, I have to ditch karaoke night." I said. Yes, I'm part of Vocaloid High's Student Council. My vice-president is Teto Kasane. Then, our secretary is SF_A2 Miki. We're still recruiting our treasurer and our general affairs.

            "Awwwww! You can give Teto your paperwork! Besides, she's responsible when you're not around." Miku said, crossing her arms."You know, we should get to class. Homeroom's starting soon." Kaito said, looking at his watch. So, we went to our classroom.

          A guy with long, purple hair and a girl with green hair wearing googles came in the classroom. Then, the guy took a seat beside me. The girl sat beside Anon. "Hi there. I'm Gakupo Kamui." he said. Wait........that's him?! He looks weird. So not my type. "Luka. Luka Megurine." I said, not even looking at him. "So, uhhhhhhh......how are you?" Gakupo replied. Seriously? How am I? What a nice conversation starter. "I'm just fine. Now, scram." I replied. Then, I walked over to Kaito. "Kaito, is this a joke?!" I said, pulling his blue t-shirt. "What? What's a joke?" Kaito asked, confused. "Gakupo? Is that really him? I thought he's going to be tough and samurai-like!" I said angrily. "Uhhhh......he is samurai-like. But, I forgot to mention you that he has long, purple hair and wears a kimono all the time." he said. Wow. That's a shocker.

            "You're safe for now, Shion." I said, letting go of his shirt. Kaito looked at me in confusion. Then, I went back to my seat. Okay. Samurais and long-haired guys are officially not my type.
