Fatima: Her Journey, Her Story

Chapter 1

Fatima: Hey Angie girl wassup..

Angela: Don't Hey girl Angie me (Angela gives Fatima the side eye.)

Fatima: (Eye roll) My bad for being late girl.

So, Angie and Fatima go back and forth for a little bit but finally their names are called Angie and Fatima are getting much needed pedicures 

Fatima: Thank you so much girl this was needed.

Angela: So how have you been it's been like two weeks and since I have seen and heard from you?

**Fatima just stares into space she knows what Angela wants to talk about but she's not in the right head space to have this conversation.

Angela: So, we just going to sit here and not even talk about it Tima?

Fatima: Angela I will talk about it with you I'm just still trying to wrap my head around everything that happened.

**Angela doesn't pry anymore she just let's it go for now because she can see that its upsetting Fatima.

Angela: Sorry Tima I was just worried about you, and I want to make sure my bestie is ok?

Fatima: I know your worried Angela, but I promise we will talk.

Angela: So, let me change the subject how is Ian taking everything?

**Fatima goes quiet again because she knows Angela is no fan of Ian, Angela always felt like Tima could do better than him.

(**So Fatima nervously says:)

Well, his been out of town for about two weeks, but we have been communicating and I'm picking up for the airport tonight.

**Angela now visible upset.

Angela: You mean to tell me that bobble head ass nigga has been out of town while you've been going through this shit by yourself?

Fatima: Angela please I don't wan-

Angela: No Fatima no I'm tired of this shit how much more of his bullshit are you going to take?

(Fatima raises her voice a little bit)

 ANGELA I told you I don't want to talk about this shit right now.

**Now everyone in the nail salon is staring at Fatima and Angela.

Angela: you know what Fatima? don't worry about it I'm out.

Angela gets up goes to pays for her pedicure and leaves Fatima sitting there embarrassed and hurt.

**Little while later**

**Fatima phone rings**

**Fatima looks down at her phone and take a deep breath before she answers it.

Fatima: Hello

Andi says nervously: Hey girl how are you?

Fatima: I'm good girl wassup?

**Fatima can hear it in Andi voice that something is wrong.

Andi says unsure: nothing girl just thought I would see what you were doing.

Fatima: Let me guess you talked to Angela?

Andi, Fatima and Angela all work together at the law firm. Fatima and Angela have been friends since college and Fatima introduced Andi to Angela.

Andi: Well, she did come by my office.

Fatima: Look Andi I'm ok I just didn't want to talk about everything, and Angela wouldn't let up she kept going in about it and I told her that I would talk about it later then she started going in about Ian, then I got loud with her in the nail shop it was just a mess.
