"Okay now that everyone is present" the teacher looks at Nathan, who just rolls his eyes.
"One day they'll get stuck," I mumble under my breath, a small smile as in almost unnoticeable smile makes its way on his annoyed face.
"I know," he mumbles back. It's my turn to smile now.
"I know, it's the start of the year and all that, but I have a project I want everyone to do. So get into pairs of two" The teacher gives us a fake smile.
Everyone's quick to find a partner,
"I'm not doing it" Nathan says sternly.
"You are" the teacher says back. They argue back and forth
"Nathan stop acting like a child, you're not better than everyone else. We all have to do it, so grow the fuck up and just do the god damn project," I snap.
Everyone's eyes turn to me. Nathan just freezes, like someone has never told him he doesn't own the world.
"Great Lily and Nathan you're working together" the teacher smiles. I roll my eyes and sit back down. This is so unfair, I have to work with this stubborn child.
"One day they'll get stuck" he mumbles, his voice is quiet. almost like he didn't even won't me to hear it.
"I know" I don't even know why I said it, it just came as a reflex I guess.
"Okay so the project is simple don't worry, just get to know your partner. You have two weeks" he lets the class go.
I'm pretty sure Gabi still has one class, so Oli and me will probably just go around the school and hang out until she's done.
I meet the girls at Gabi locker
"kill me," I say.
"What now ill?" Gabi asks, she takes out her science book from her locker as we begin walking towards her class
"I got paired up with Nathan again" I say, as I fake faint into Olivia's arms.
"Jesus girl, the world must hate you or something," Olivia laughs. I shoot her a glare and she stops.
"I know, like what I did do to deserve this" I fake a cry.
"Omg I know" Olivia says as she basically drops me, since I'm still laying in her arms.
"Ow bitch" I get back up.
"It's just karma you know" she smiles. I share a confused look with Gabi.
"You laughed at me when I ran into the door, and now god is punishing you" I just shake my head.
We say goodbye too Gabi and we start walking over to the small hang out place in school; there's this really nice 'garden' on school ground. We've hung out there before. There's this really pretty big tree in the middle of it.
We walk over to the tree and since its pretty good weather, we just sit on the ground.
"So Nathan huh" she smiles,
"don't even" I stop her.
"So Ace huh" I smile
"he's nice" she blushes,
"Just nice" I ask, she smiles
"No he's really nice, I mean I guess I'm kind of happy were paired up. he does have that tough guy act but.. I don't know he's nice" she covers her face with her hand
"true, it's a great excuse to spend time with him" I move er hands from her face.
"Hey if you get married give me credit please," she just laughs at my words.
