Hiccup's POV

I shot down a Night Fury I thought. Getting a little excited.

"Did anyone see that?" I said shooting my hands up in the air. I turned around and saw a Monstrous Nightmare. "Except for for you."

I'm out my hands down and started running while screaming down the hill back towards the village with the dragon still following me. When I had made it to the village I hid behind a torch pole hoping the dragon didn't follow me. The Monstrous Nightmare set the pole on fire so I peaked out a little to try and find it, but my dad came and got ahold of the Monstrous Nightmare before it could get me and started to fight with it. The dragon tried to fire at my dad but was out of fire.

"Your all out." He said before punching it, making it fly away.

The pole that I was standing in front of blocking my view from my dad broke and went tumbling do a hill.

"Sorry... dad." It was quite for a few minutes as we watched the dragons take our food. "OK but I hit a Night Fury." I said not looking at him. He grabbed me by my collar and started to drag me back home. "It's not like the last few times dad. I mean I really, accaully hit it. You guys were busy and I had a very clear shot. It went down just off Raven Point let's get a search party out there before-"

"Stop", dad interrupted me, putting me down and stopped walking with a lot of vikings watching us argu. "Just stop. Every time you step outside disaster falls. Can you not that I have bigger problems. Winter is almost here and I have an entire village to feed." He said.

"Between you and me, the village could do with a little less feeding, don't you think?" I said making the vikings around me gasp.

"This isn't a joke Hiccup. Uh, why can't you follow the simplest orders?" Dad said starting to get fed up.

"I-I-I can't stop myself. I see and dragon and I have to just kill it." I said making weird movements with my hands. "You know? It's who I am dad."

"Uh, your many things Hiccup. But a dragon killer is not one of them. Get back to the house." He said before looking at Gobber. "Make sure he gets there. I have his mess to clean up." He said before walking off.

Gobber pushed me a little and we started walking back to my house. We walked passed the group of teenagers, involving Fishlegs, Tuffnut, Ruffnut, Snotloud and Asdrid. The twins plus Snotloud were laughing at me.

"Quite the performance!" Tuffnut said.
"I've never seen anyone mess up that badly. That helped." Snotloud said getting all up in my face.
"Thank you, thank you. I was trying, so..."

Gobber pushed Snotlouds face to the floor and eventually we made it to my house.

"I really did hit one." I said trying to convince Gobber.

"Sure Hiccup."

"He never listens."

"Well it runs in the family."

"And when he does its always with this disappointed scowl. Like someone skipped on the meat on his sandwich." I said when we reached my door. I started doing actions prodendin I was my dad. "Excuse me, barmaid. I'm afraid you brought me the wrong offspring. I ordered an extra large boy with beefy arms. Extra guts and glory in the side. This here. This is a talking fish bone."

"You're thinking about this all wrong. It's not so much what you look like. It's what's inside that he can't stand." Gobber said after I was done.

"Thank you, for summing that up." I said before we reached the door way to my house.

"Look, the point is, stop trying so hard to be something you're not." Gobber says making me sigh heavily.

"I just want to be one of you guys." I say making Gobber eye me sympathetically.

I turn and go through the front door. And straight out the back door. I hurry off into the woods, determined to find the dragon.
