Nothing better than cold pizza in the morning. Plus I have last nights Yankees Cardinals game already recorded on my VCR. The Yankees only need one more home run to win. Chris Young is getting ready to swing and we've got a player on third base. I'm on the edge of my seat. "This is it!" The moment I had been waiting for. Tim Cooney throws a fast pace spinner. It flew through the air like a bullet. He gets a knock on it into the outfield and then ............
It was gone. I didn't extend all the recording of the game, I was absolutely shattered. At the time I was so angry I thought I was going to throw the T.V out the damn window. I could hear my voice echoing throughout the city, bouncing off each wall of every building.Just when I started to calm down channel seven came on "Breaking News""Teenager Missing!" "female, caucasian, last seen roaming the streets of downtown Brooklyn around 9pm last Friday night. I was shocked it was the second disappearance in three weeks. It's like they have just vanished off the face of the earth, into the shadows. From what I could gather the girl was about my age, maybe a little older, but I swear I've seen her before. I couldn't think because I had the T.V blaring in one ear. I couldn't bear hearing another second of that chicks irritating voice. So I walked out the door slamming it behind me.
My name is Tyrelliko, but people call me Tye.I was named after my great great uncle. He was apparently a chief in one of those American Indian tribe or somethin. When I was about four my dad left us and I wouldn't have clue where he is. That's not all A few years back my elder sister Sam was murdered in a hold up of the local drug store. I always swore that if I ever found the guy I'd kill him. I guess seeing that girl on the news just brings back those cold, dark memories. " I try not to think about it." I used to get help, but my mum couldn't end up affording it. We live in a small apartment on the sixth floor of my building. Sometimes I'll just crawl out the fire escape outside my window just to avoid my doorman. I can't stand being in the same room as our him.He gives me the creeps. I feel like he's always watching me for some reason. It's like a whole Big Brother saga.
I go to school in downtown Brooklyn. You could say it's where all the ghetto's go. I'll sometimes catch the train because of how far away my bus stop is. But the subway is only two blocks away from my apartment block. Occasionally when I'm board I'll go down there and tag messages on the walls when the trains aren't running, it helps me deal with things. Anything that I feel I'll just spray it on the walls, and it out of my system, it's an ongoing work of art. The passengers on the train see it every time they go past. I bet they know my life, better than I do, because half the time I forget what I put up there. It just happens.
This morning I thought I'd walk a little to my bus stop because I know a short cut, you have to jump a few fences, but it's alright. As I was waiting for the bus I remembered that I had forgotten my maths text book, I new my teacher was going to slam me. The moment I stepped in that bus, I new it was a big mistake. I could just sense the vibe of the situation. Brad Hitchcock was sitting on the back seat. He was eye balling me all the way down the bus with an evil smirk on his face. I ended up sitting down next to Henry Cox. The kid was a bit of a nerd and smelt really weird, so don't ask me why I sat next to him. As long as it wasn't next to Brad and his mates, they were all just a bunch of meat heads. As the bus started to move over the roar of the engine changing gears was the words "Hey Tye!""How's ya sister haven't seen her in a while." It was Brad.It just reminded me of how much of an idiot he was, so I turned around and told him to sit down and shut up. He retorted back saying "What! I just wanted to know. 'Splat!'Next all I could feel was a thick sludge running down my face. I got up and started abusing the crap out of the guy. Before I new it the bus came to a hold, and a voice coming from the front of the bus was yelled "You there! Yes you,Off the bus!" He told me I could walk to school as he shoved me out the door. As he sped off he almost ran over my foot. "Wouldn't that have been a good walk" I said. I walked over to the nearest water fountain, to try and wash what seemed to be some sort of yogurt. Maybe 'vanilla' out of my thick head of hair. As I look up to take a breath. I see some kind of black figure lurking in the shadows of alleyway. At first I thought it was a cat, but then it got up on two legs and darted around the corner. I tried to run after it, but when I got around the corner it was a dead end. There was just what looked like to be a sewer shaft which seemed to be leading underground. At the time I didn't know what to think.
