My name is Allison Ellis. A few years I had a really bad car accident. I was put into a wheelchair and told that I would not be walking again seeing how my legs were both paralyzed. Life for me has been very rough. I recently graduated high school and I am moving on to college. It's going to be a new start for me. I got accepted into Washington State. My brother , Liam was accepted in Washington State Also.
We both are extremely excited and can't wait until the day comes when we move out the house.

~ FLASHBACK TO ACCIDENT~

"Mom, are we almost there?" I yelled.

"Yes,darling. Just a few more minutes" she responded.

We are going to the best pizza place in New York! I am so excited to try their pizza! Maybe we can stop by my favorite aunt's house too.

"Mom, can we stop by Aunt Raine's house?" I questioned.

"Maybe, let me just send her a text and ask" she responds.

"No, pull over and text her mom don't text and drive." I warn.

"It's fine darling, I can text her right now." she says.

I knew the moment she pulled out her phone things would go wrong..but nothing happened. She pulled out her phone and texted Aunt Raine. Then she put her phone down and continued driving.

"See, I told you sweetie nothing would happen." She remarks.

"Okay, mom but please stop looking at me when you talk and keep your eyes on the road." I say.

She looked at me and smiled. At that moment my life changed. A car come from around the corner and my mom wasn't paying attention. Within one second, I knew, the car had crashed into us. The airbags came out and all I remember is my mom screaming my name. Then things started blacking out. I was knocked out. Cold.  When I finally awoken, I was in a hospital. My brother, Liam was there. He was sitting down looking rather uncomfortable when he saw my eyes open.

"Allison! Your awake!" He screams with joy.

I didn't know how to respond to that. I was always socially awkward. I just stared at him, waiting for him to say something back. It was rather awkward. Until I spoke.

"Yeah.." I said softly.

"Alli, do you remember anything?" he questioned.

"Yes, I remember mom looking at me and then..then a car crashed into us and I passed out." I say kinda unsure if that was correct.

"Yeah, but there is something I need to tell you." He says.

"Okay, tell me" I say uneasy.

"Mom..she..she didn't survive the car crash." he says quietly.

I am in tears. I want to get out of bed and run to Liam and cry. Until I realized something. My legs weren't moving. I saw a wheelchair by the window. At first, I was confused. Liam stared at me then looked at the wheelchair and immediately I knew Liam wasn't done telling me what happened.

"Continue." I cry.

"You got paralyzed. Both of your legs." He struggles to say.

"No..NO! Liam please tell me this is a cruel joke, PLEASE!" I yell.

"Alli, I'm sorry." He looks away.

I can see a tear coming down his face. He gets up and walks over to me.

"You get to leave today and face the world for the first time after the crash." He says.

"How does that make me feel any better, Liam?" I almost yell but calm my temper.

"There is a surprise waiting for you." Liam responds.

The doctor walks in with a nurse and ask if I am doing alright and if I am ready to go home. Of course I am ready to go home moron... but I had to think how I was going to answer the doctor.

"Yes, I am definitely ready to go home." I say respectfully.

The nurse did everything she needed to do and Liam assisted me to the wheelchair. He wheeled me out of the room and from then I wheeled myself to the van lift. The ride to my house was lonely. I basically cried to death. I wish my life was over.
