denial (Stanley x Zigzag A Holes Fanfic)

Stanley was surprised when he heard his name being called out, he whipped his head around to see a boy with dirty blonde hair, if he remembered correctly his name was Zigzag. Stanley made his way to them and sat next to him.

"So Stanley" Zigzag said as he watched him eat, everyone looked in their direction, "how's the first day going so far?" He said, looking at everyone else.

"I haven't, uh, I haven't dug my first hole yet, so uh, that's good I guess" Stanley said, trailing off onto something, the table became his sudden interest.

"Well Stanley" he heard someone else say, he looked up and saw a dark brown boy with glasses, "it's gonna be real hot, and real hard tomorrow, the first holes the hardest" he said looking Stanley in the eye. Stanley gulped.

"So anyway" he saw another kid talking, he had a white cap on, "what're you in for?" He asked, Stanley gulped again, he was blamed, but these kids wouldn't care.

"For stealing a pair of shoes" he answered, everyone started to laugh, and make jokes, "they were clide Livingstons shoes" he added, everyone went silent, looked at him and all started talking at once. Stanley started to feel overwhelmed, but answered all their questions.

After dinner Stanley wanted to sleep, so he headed over to his camp, camp D, when he went inside the only other person inside was Zigzag. Zigzag signed.

"What's up Stanley? Your in here pretty early" he said getting up from laying down. Stanley looked at him and half-heartedly chuckled.

"Yeah Im just used to sleeping early I guess" Stanley said as he sat on his cot, it had a vomit stain on it so he just threw over a sheet and called it a day. Zigzag nodded, and watched Stanley quietly.

Stanley looked at Zigzag and saw something in his eyes, it was too fast to be made out, but he saw it, he just shook his head slightly and sighed, he put his head on his pillow and closed his eyes, once sleep overcame the boy, he let his mind dream.
