Its mothers day and Kate has a fantastic day planned for her mom. So Kate starts the day off with breakfast in bed. She grabs a plate sets it down on the table and then puts two slices of bread in the heart shaped toaster, that her grandma gave to her mom. Next she grabs a bowl and throws in water melon slices, strawberries, and blueberries. Then sets it on the plates as the perfectly done toast pops out of the toaster. Kate grabs them quickly and smears cream cheese on one slice of bread and grape jelly on the other. Finally she makes the plate look edible and then heads up to her moms room. Stomping up the stairs as she hurries she trips, but doesn't drop anything. She stands back up and brushes it off she starts toward her mothers bedroom again. As she approaches the doorway she sees her mother covered with blankets still sound asleep. She takes a couple steps till she's next to the bed.
"Wake up, mom" Kate says trying to wake her mother. Then as she gets no respond she sets the plate of food on the dresser next to the bed. Then hops on the bed and bounces. "Mom, wake up its mothers day" Kate announced to her mother. "I don't want to go to school, five more minutes" her mom mumbles and rolls over, hiding her face with the blankets once more.
After awhile of trying to get Kate's mom up, they sat in the bed talking and giggling. Then they got done with breakfast Kate rushed her mom out the door to see this giant rocket ship sitting in her back yard. Her mothers eyes widened and her mouth dropped open. "Where'd you get this?" Her mother asked nervously with a concerned look on her face. "Its from dad. He sent it so we could have our day in space" Kate explained. "Then let's get on it and start our day together" her mom encouraged.
As they aborted the ship it started to light up. When they got on they buckled themselves in and stared at all the buttons. "Mom you remember how to fly this thing, right?" Kate asked. Her mom pushed a couple buttons then the ship began to shake and make weird noises. Kate and her mom look at each other with a nervous look. 'Swoosh' the ship leaves the ground and pushes them back against there seats. "Ahhhhhh" they both scream.
As the ship stops they notice there not in there background anymore there staring at earth now. "How do we land this again?" Kate's mom asks. "What your telling me you don't know how to land !?"
